Kgari 3 Sisters

Susan and Henry are both remarkable artists who run the shop and are also so generous with information about aboriginal culture, art, and everyday life. Susan was so kind and informative in answering my many questions that I'm usually too embarassed to ask in fear of exposing my ignorance. She also explained the role of Dreamtime Rainforest and Reef tours in the empowerment and acknowledgement of young aboriginal people. The artwork, and stories of each piece, are a necessary stop in Cairns.

I can higly recommend visiting Kgari 3 Sisters.Susan and Henry are both welcoming and interesting. I have learnt much about the Aboriginal culture in a warm" and friendly place.Susan's paintings are beautiful and if you have any creativity bursting to get out the "workshop" with her is well worth doing. I was lucky to have a one on one session and watched her create a story as she told me some of the traditional tales and meanings. I then had the opportunity to try myself which was really enjoyable and left me wanting to do more. (Fortunately I was able to buy a print of Susan's !)It is with meetings like today that our differences can be admired and understanding can grow."

A most amazing experience coming to Cairns and sitting with these 2 beautiful people in an delightfully comfortable space. A must do when in Cairns, my painting was not ‘that’ great, but I managed to buy a fantastic print that proudly adorns my collection of Aboriginal Art. The art class only takes 90 mins or so, but I sat and chatted for ages. The lady Violet in the cafe adjoining makes some great Jamaican food as well… feel like I’m home!

I had a wonderful time at a painting workshop workshop this afternoon!I got stuck in with paints and was guided to find my totem animal, it was pretty accurate in the description!A really welcoming atmosphere, beautiful art. Good for the soul to sit and do some art! A must do in Cairns

I did a painting workshop with ms reyes and it was amazing. She is an incredibly talented artist and a lovely person. I learned a lot about aboriginal art and just had a great time in general. 10/10 recommend :D
