The Curtains Fig Tree is an absolute marvel that left me in awe. Despite its short loop walk, this incredible tree stands as a majestic spectacle in Far North Queensland. Its grandeur and uniqueness make it a must-see attraction. This giant fig tree, with its sprawling branches and cascading aerial roots, creates a natural curtain-like formation that is simply breathtaking. As I stood before this botanical wonder, I couldn't help but marvel at the intricate interplay between nature and time. The tree's sheer size and presence are awe-inspiring.The loop walk around the Curtains Fig Tree was easily accessible and allowed me to appreciate the tree from different angles. The well-maintained path showcased the tree's intricate root system and provided informational signs to enhance my understanding of its significance in the ecosystem.Witnessing the Curtains Fig Tree's magnificence was a humbling experience. Its ancient and majestic presence serves as a reminder of nature's power and beauty. Even with its short walk, this attraction is a must-visit for anyone in the area.

Plenty of parking and all shaded. The walk from the car park to the Curtain Fig Tree is wheelchair accessible and super quick. The boardwalk is is excellent condition. While it is a quick stopover, you could extend it a little by having a cup of tea and a sandwich. There aren't toilets, tables or chairs, but if you're a van or car lifer, you've got everything with you that you need! Turn on the gas stove, heat some water and you've just created the perfect chill out space - right inside a forested pocket of land!Remember to take all rubbish with you and try to be super dooper quiet. It's a lovely peaceful place, so be mindful of your actions and how they impact the enjoyment for others.Stay safe!

Curtain Fig Tree
This tree is extraordinary with such beautiful green leaves and just a gorgeous location. There’s so much to admire and I really enjoyed this short stop off in the way through the national park. The tree itself is beautiful but the history behind it and how it came to be shown at the site is well worth reading also. It’s a great way to learn more about this beautiful, natural process.Would recommend anyone travelling through the area to stop off here and get out of the car. It’s a short but beautiful walk on a well maintained little bridge, free entry, what could be better?

Definitely worth the quick stop over to visit this extraordinary tree. The formations of the roots are just fascinating and great a place for photos. For lazy people like me, the tree is just a like a 2 min walk from the carpark.

There's just no words, you have to just go there and see this great monstrosity and read the plaques that tell the story of how this amazing tree came to be. Your in the presence of a mighty plant.

A magnificent tree stands in solitude, but be cautious of the lack of mobile coverage in the area. Download maps before going there to avoid getting lost, like I did.

Curtain Fig Tree
This incredible fig tree was introduced on rhe ABC last year about the most amazing trees in Australia. The Curtain Fig was voted in the top three and so is well worth checking out when exploring the Atherton tablelands in far north Queensland. It's one of the most majestic trees you'll ever see!
