Nisbets Darling Harbour Store

I purchased two table bases from Nisbets Online however when they were delivered, one of the rods that connects the table and base together was short. This was the cherry on top as I had waited for some time to get these table bases delivered. Thankfully, the other table base had no fault. I then emailed Nisbets Online returns department to inform them about the issue however, they rudely suggested that I measure the faulty table base, then dissemble the non-faulty table, put them side by side and take a photo of them so they could THEN assess the fault. How could they suggest something so ridiculous when all they had to do was pick up and drop off a new table base. I run a business and don’t have time to sit there assessing faulty products which I know I am entitled to have replaced! But it gets worse. I sent another email to Nisbets Online returns department and surprise surprise, I have received no response. I spoke to Tamara from returns and to Aaron and Phil from sales and again, surprise surprise, no one has gotten back to me. Take my advice and do NOT purchase products from this company. They have the worst products – they are either faulty or break down! They are cheap for a reason. The saying goes, if you pay for bananas you get monkeys. I would suggest you pay a little more for a product that you know will last you longer and is of a commercial grade!

Be careful of these scammers and check your sales receipts. I ordered and paid for a grill (almost $500) and then get a callback asking for extra money for delivery (used to be free the last 5 times).After I trusted them to take only the delivery fee out of my credit card, they go and withdraw the whole amount (another $500) out of my account. Now that is a scam!! Do they think I will not notice??Thieves!!NISBETS, Check your system again and REFUND ME MY $489.39 BACK NOW!! BEFORE I GET CHARGED INTEREST FROM MY BANK!!Never again!!

Nice little shop for good quality catering equipments. Great for professional cooks or culinary students. Good range and variety of items, and good in-shop service too.

Been there few times just for filling up the kitchen. Some time left the shop and didn't want to come back again , some times don't want to leave the shop. still have some differences customer service level in each staff there. all good anyway.

Shocking. I went into the pyrmont nisbets store.A woman who worked there asked if i needed any help. And i asked if i could try on a chefs jacket, i knew what brand of jacket i wanted to try on, and she pointed out there were sample jackets already hanging up. But the only jacket they had on the rack was too small for me. I tried it on anyway to show it was to small, and i politely asked if i could try on a larger one, let me be clear...i asked if i could try on a larger size jacket.She then took one off the shelf, opened the packaging and handed me the jacket.I tried it on and i didint like it, so i said thankyou, and handed it back to her.She then said to me in a very rude sarcastic manner....thanks for putting all your germs over it, the jacket.At first i was shocked and appalled at how i was spoken to. She then proceeded to tell me how after trying on the jacket, i was now obligated to buy it.I was, and still am, very angry and upset over this.It was rude and belittling. Disgraceful.I could kind of understand her temperament if i had just helped myself, but i did ask first.If customers aren't allowed to try on somthing before they buy, then managment should train there staff accordingly.After i complained to the store via there website, i got a call back, basically saying to me, well sorry about that what do you want us to do about it.I will return to the store, only because i didint get the name of the lady who was serving me.Hopfully i can take my complaint further. So this barbaric intimadation of customers doesn't continue.

I have had a great experience with Nisbets. I order 36 crystal wine glasses and 2 of them came broken in the freight transport. I emailed head office with images for proof and they made it so easy and replaced them straight away the following day. I would definitely recommend this place as the quality is beautiful and service is exceptional. I will be buying all my kitchen things from here. Thank you for great customer service.

Absolute horror story getting a large item delivered. They use a 3rd party courier to deliver which seems to relieve them of all responsibility. Customer serve seems like a call center - polite and friendly - but absolutely useless as far as empathy or taking charge of the problem goes. You can't speak to anyone with any authority or ability to cut through the bull. I will never buy anything that needs delivering again. And though someone in the company may care about that, they would never know because you just can't get to someone that knows this matters!
