I decided to promote local business and use a local solicitor for my conveyancing. An initial call to the senior partner in which he confirmed he would be handling the case personally, proved not to be so. An associate and other office staff handled the whole thing.I was also not advised when the sale went unconditional. I was also asked to obtain the security release form from the bank myself. I wasn’t given any options as to how I wanted the final funds dispersed. Subsequently a bank cheque deposited into my account took five days to clear.All in all I received a below average service for an above average price. If you want average service you could go somewhere else and save at least 20%. I would not recommend this firm.
