Called up to ask if I could order a specific cake for my mothers 60th birthday. The man in charge was not helpful and seemed to not care when I asked if he knew the next nearest shop that might sell them. I was met with a careless yeah I dunno ay". Trash customer service. 1 Star like the customer service."

Wow some mixed reviews on here!Our experience, we enjoyed and they didn't even profit from us!!My children dropped off their colouring in competitions about a week ago and were entitled to a free single slice of cake. The man, who seemed in charge, gave them a quarter of a white choc mud cake instead as there were no single slices! We told him we were very thankful and walked out to our car. Unbeknown to us we'd not waited for the aprons the kids were entitled to so as we were getting in the car he had rushed out the door calling to us so the kids didn't miss out! Thank you for your kind service and yummy cake! I hope this positive review gives you a boost and you have a great day Mr Cake shop owner, we appreciate you!

Hi - am becoming very upset as have received no response and no refund as yet from Redcliffe store or head office. Unpleasant experience with the man working Easter Monday. My daughter took her colouring in competition into the store and he basically snatched it out of her hands and shoved a slice of cake into her. When asked if she could select chocolate instead of caramel, was rudely interrupted and told “you don’t have a choice” - fair enough. No choice. But the delivery of said message was gross. Was short, rude, interruptive and on the way to the car even my 6yr old daughter stated “he was very rude”.Shame because I buy every cake from here for birthdays. I’ll be going else where. Really gross experience for an excited 6yr old.

Brought an American baked cheese cake yesterday for my daughters birthday. It was absolutely disgusting. The cheese cake was cracked & had been filled with some yuk clear gooey filling, the base was so damm stale & it had white (possibly icing sugar) dusted all over the top. Obviously an attempt to hide how old and cracked it was. No one could eat it. This place has gone down hill. Will never return. Nor will any of our family members after now... 2 horrible encounters with this store.

The shop is clean, with cakes displayed neatly and temptingly in the glass case. I found a large selection of fresh cases to choose from.Service was prompt and polite, I would not go so far as to say friendly. The man who served me seemed quite disinterested. My cake was boxed, and shown to me prior to finalising my purchase.I frequently purchase cheesecakes, however on this occasion I bought a mud cake. In my opinion, the mud cake was a bit drier than I expected, quite crumbly. Tasty, but not what I expected.

The new range of cakes is an appalling attempt at cost savings. I understand they have a business to run, but to keep the same prices and be giving people the dry, tasteless, imitation cakes that you wouldn't serve at a kids party is a joke. The Black Forrest had no cream on the inside and a total of three cherries on top, but it was the best looking option of all the new cakes. You ruined our Christmas, thanks a lot.

Bought a cake for my twins Birthday and someone else recommend The Cheesecake shop to me. The cake was beautiful, full of colours and a very tasty cake. I will going to back for more cakes for celebrations. Thank you so much! Also my kids loved the cake too!

Whether it's a birthday cake or just a wedge of something indulgent for a snack, there's a variety of tastes and textures to suit everyone. It's a short walk from the Margate Shopping Centre and also has plenty of parking right in front of the shop itself.

We bought a baked cheesecake and asked about the Vegan slices and are they are Gluten Free. The young lady was helpful, friendly and polite but was new so went and got the man in charge. He was surly, unfriendly and said he didn't know if they are GF (and didn't seem to care). He clearly doesn't enjoy his job and is not customer friendly. Surely a person in charge should know about the products they sell. We noticed a sign outside stating they are hiring staff. All I can say is don't bother. Your boss won't be setting a good example in customer service.
