The lady who served us was a bit rude. My friend tried asking for suggestions as she doesn’t have an idea yet on which colors of balloons would match. The lady answered her, “we have different preferences.”

Got there 35 minutes before they closed & had to wait ten minutes because there was a sign saying back at 5:05. Phoned for a price earlier that day & payed over the phone, turned up to collect & they had got the order completely wrong. They Then spent the next 25 mins making me feel like I did something wrong & saying that I had to pay $25 more. Made me late for everything else I had planned. The manager & staff are very rude. The girl that served me on the phone earlier was lovely but messed up & I get that, we are only human but I didn’t want to pay for someone else’s mistake. The customer is not valued in this store. I do not recommend.

Found everything I needed for a kids dress like a pirate day at school.Even when I found out(twice)that the costumes I bought were to small. They allowed me to swap for a different size without any issues.Definitely going back for the next dress up day my kids have at school, or even any costume event as they have a good range of adult sizes also.

Amazing customer service from Jen. Thank you so much Jen for always answering my random costume questions and going above and beyond to provide the best level of service. I bought some beautiful butterfly wings here that are hand made in Byron Bay. I also decided to buy a crown. My husband was looking for items with a Viking theme and Jen gave great suggestions.Jen is always serving several people, while creating balloon masterpieces and will show you suggestions on the computer.I see there are a few bad reviews here, but I think the shop has definitely improved since they were written.

I keep coming back again and again whenever I need costumes for parties or dance performances, and the staff are always switched on and full of ideas. Every time I drop in there's something new, and the helpful staff have been lifesavers for last minute inspiration. Easily the best party shop in Canberra.

I was waiting there to get five pieces of balloon for more than 30 minutes while the lady in the counter is busy blowing balloons and messing around tangled ribbons. There people in que just to pay for the items they picked from the store and she kept on saying one minute for everyone. At least she told me 5 minutes which took 30 minutes plus. Rip party Capital for your service!
