What’s the point of a home dr that never shows up for a booking 11 hours no text no phone call nothing. Only a matter of time before this behaviour results in someone loosing a life

I have been using this service for years but tonight left me flabbergasted. My booking was cancelled and was told to take my son to emergency and then was hung up on. He does not need to go to emergency, he has the beginning of an eyelash/tear duct infection or conjunctivitis... needing chlorsig drops/ointment. But operator talked over me, making out new symptoms, which I said no, but could not get a word in. She didn't care, and told me she was disconnecting the call and for me to go to emergency! My son is 15yr btw.As if I am going to emergency department for who knows how long especially since budget cuts!!!Plus I was on hold for 45min!! Rang up Hello Home Doctor service, they answered the phone in less than 5 minutes and made a booking no problem..hmmm.

Made a booking at 5am for my sick partner. Tending to her I missed the phone call from the doctor. I got a text saying the doctor had tried to call but hadn’t be able to reach me and would call again shortly. I called back within minutes and the doctor said that I missed the call and he was heading back to Brisbane and not returning. I called the office and they said there was not more booking for the area. So find a different platform or servers. Within 5min the doctor is out of the area. Just means that he wasn't coming. I thought doctors are meant to look after people not the meter

Don’t bother making an appointment. I waited three hours with the phone next to me. Finally needed to use the bathroom and of course the doctor called. Called straight back and left a message saying I was waiting. One and a half hours later had a text saying the doctor had tried to call but hadn’t be able to reach me and would call again shortly. By this time it was 12.30am. I continued to wait. About 1am I received another text saying my appointment had been cancelled. I then waited on hold for 20 minutes trying to connect only to be told the doctor had tried to call me three times which was simple not the case as I was holding the phone. I was then informed I would need to wait for another appointment which would take another hour. Seriously ridiculous.

Would leave no stars if possible, my partner who is 5 days out of a C section and myself did not wait for 5 hours until 1am just to be told to take Panadol. I really don't see the point of even having this service if all the doctor is going to do for 90% of the patients is just tell them to take Panadol.Doctor was only in our house for all of 2 minutes.This service is a joke.If you need a home doctor do not use this service, unfortunately you clearly have to pay for proper care.

Would prefer to leave no stars!!!I am absolutely disgusted in this service. After sitting on hold for 58 minutes I was told that my son could not be seen then hung up on while still talking and trying to confirm if my other son was in fact booked in. I now have no idea if they are coming out this evening or not.Really can not believe a service for sick people would show such little compassion and actually hang up on me even when I was being very polite to the staff member.I will be emailing with a formal complaint against whoever I spoke to.

I’ve tried to use this service twice now. The first time we were told for hours that a doctor was coming only to be told late at night there were no doctors available. Second time I tried I received a message to say a doctor would come between a certain time, then was asked if we were ready for the doctor (indicating they were close) only to be told that doctor is no longer available! I was offered a Telehealth appointment which you can pretty much get anywhere these days so I think this service is just a scam! No wonder this service has so many low star ratings! I wouldn’t even bother in future….

Got no help at all Online booking seemed convenient but then no indication of when you’d receive a call When the doctor called said there were no doctors out in my area and they couldn’t prescribe over the phone (wouldn’t have been physically able to get to pharmacy anyway hence why I was calling a doctor out) despite being 24/7 I was told to call back at 8am to see if a doctor would be available then

What an absolute waste of public funding. This ‘service’ needs a complete overhaul. Booked online as the website stated that a doctor was available in our area. About an hour later received a text saying that a doctor wasn’t available. Called the call centre 3 times without success (no answer) Tried a 4th time and waited 15minutes only for my call to be dropped (they hung up on pick up) I’m on my 5th call now…waiting. Not what you need when you’re trying to get help for your sick child.

Not sure how this service is still in business.Made an appointment online, received a phone call to say “just letting you know we won’t prescribe pain killers” I’m pregnant… I can’t have them anyway. I was never asking for them? Not sure what’s flagged or if they simply judge everyone to be seeking pain killers? After the conversation had, wouldn’t even bother with them again. Such a shame because our health care system struggles enough.
