Sanctuary Lakes Fauna Retreat

Our group of 16 stayed for 3 nights and had a wonderful time. Everyone enjoying the peaceful setting and turtles and ducks to feed. Great location in Hervey Bay and very accommodating staff.

Staff was amazing! (5/5) They were really friendly and helped us book taxi and check in late.It was a very cozy place and the villas were ok. It was a little bit off but i mean we can only blame ourselves for that. You only got 1 key to the gate and that made it a little hard for us all 5 living at the same place. It did not had that little extra to deserve a 5/5 but I would definately recommend this place!

This place is an absolute gem hidden away in Hervey Bay. As soon as you enter the property a calmness comes over you instantly. The trees and lake makes it so relaxing. The ideal holiday to get away from the world. There is plenty of birdlife walking around with turtles in the lake and lawns. One of a kind property you won't find this anywhere. The rooms are very affordable and have all the basics for a weekend getaway. The views over the lake are amazing and the balcony is perfect to sit and enjoy a drink outside. The complex is gated with cameras for privacy and security. Only a 3min walk to the beach with the pub and shops next door. Perfect for families, solo travellers, groups and couples wanting a peaceful holiday. The management run this place really well and do a terrific job looking after the property. Highly recommended.

Stunning wildlife to observe, many different species of birds, a place of peace and tranquility. The cabins/rooms are a bit dated but I nevertheless highly recommend the resort to the nature lover.

Nice quiet place to relax and enjoy nature. The turtles and the birds love being fed with food purchased from the office. Villas are spacious and clean. Staff are very helpful.

Hidden gem. Cute little bungalows with kitchen(basic amenities toaster, kettle, hot plate, cutlery and crockery), air conditioning and verandah overlooking the lake. Turtles and ducks come up for a feed. Our unit was clean and tidy. Will definitely be back.

Just the most peaceful stunning views and fabulous cabins it’s the best accom we’ve ever had the pleasure to stay in while in qld hands down …. the wildlife was such a bonus the turtles melted our hearts ! Close to everything this place ticks all the boxes ! We will be back for sure what a lovely break we had , def a hidden gem in Hervey
