If you are looking for a first class adventure holiday look no further than No Roads. The 5 day Komodo Kayak adventure was a blast. Excellent local staff, accom, food and equipment. Paddling and motoring between islands, sleeping on board or camping on the beach was incredible. Dragons and manta rays both highlights. If you are seeking adventure, use No Roads to satisfy the itch. Most highly recommended!

Amazing Aussie guide Kate, great local guides and unforgettable experiences! The support teams in Australia and Port Moresby were brilliant. The girls trained hard, utilised the training hikes around Sydney with Kate and also had a pre-departure meeting with Kate to ask all those little questions which were patiently and professionally answered. As a result they felt comfortable with Kate and coped well both physically and mentally, then recovered quickly.Highlights for the girls were getting to know the guides, meeting the families of the guides, and the amazing bonds developed with their Aussie guide Kate and fellow trekkers, all girls!Kokoda itself was an amazing place with its own unique beauty and history that was loved by my first time traveller and my experienced travelling volunteer. The support and dignity that No Roads provides to the local guides and the village of Kagi was inspirational.Already saving for another No Roads adventure!

BEST HOLIDAY EVER. Irene and Peter helped organise a wonderful kayaking trip around the Komodo National Park. Flori and his team were wonderful. Took us all over the park, to all the must see sites, but also helped us get away from the crowds and have some peaceful times kayaking where the only boats in sight were our own. We saw too many Mantas and turtles to count; dolphins; wild dragons on deserted beaches and ALL THE FISHIES. Can't wait to do another trip with No roads and would recommend this one whole heartedly to all my friends.

Couldn’t have asked for a better trip. Local guides were unreal in looking after us. Flanno is extremely passionate, and it shows in his work. All the gear was new and good food throughout the trek

I don't know where to even start with this review. No Roads are a stand out company. Not only did they save my life - they provided an incredible, not to be forgotten experience, immersed in the jungle and the history of Kokoda. On day 6 of the trek, I suffered a heat-stroke event, which could have proved fatal if it was not for the quick action of No Roads and fellow trekkers to treat my condition and evacuate me out. While in hospital, the operations manager Terrance, did not leave my side. He made sure I was well enough and able to meet my fellow trekkers at the end, he even organised a couple of cold beverages for everyone on my behalf! Thank-you for every-thing!Whilst on the track, in the 6 days before, the service they provide is professional and comprehensive. From the food and equipment they provide, to the personal guides, local staff and tour guides, I could not imagine a better run, top-notch outfit in the middle of the jungle. We never went into terrain, camp, breaks without being well informed and equipped. The rest day in Kagi was an incredible experience to get to know the local villagers and their cultures and custom. It was also a great chance to get those boots off.Baz and Josh human beings, who are knowledgeable and compassionate guides, they run the well oiled machine, going above and beyond constantly. In a country like Papua New Guinea, if things go wrong, they can go very wrong, you want to be in the hands of No Roads. And when things go right - you want to be in the hands of No Roads!

Kokoda TrekThis trip was in the planning stage since early 2020 to be completed June 2020 but covid had other ideas. With much trepidation we waited for 2021 but sadly again travel was a no go. Finally Feb 2022 rolled around and we got the great news that PNG was accepting international tourists so we got ourselves ready to go.The communication from Peter (No Roads) was great - advised exactly what we needed in order to get a Visa (no visas issued on arrival).the closer we got to departure the more nervous we were (were we fit enough, were we ready). There was a slight issue with some people pulling out of the date we were due to go, so we did some rapid flight changes and we were ready to go 3 weeks earlier than originally planned. There were fees involved which Peter and his business wore which was very much appreciated.A few weeks out last minute instructions, updated packing lists, the No Roads PNG crew chasing up visas with immigration and suddenly departure day arrived. We were met at the airport and ferried to the Hotel. Once at the hotel we were all checked in, had a few drinks to relax and meet our fellow trekkers then a welcome dinner with the remaining trekkers and our expedition leader, Ruth.Trekking day arrived and after an early start we were off. Domestic flight to Popndetta via Tufi - bus ride to Kokoda, met our porters , had a history lesson about Kokoda and then suddenly we were heading into the jungle. Each day we knew what to expect - steep hills, steep downs, open flats, slippery, river crossing etc.Meals were prepared by our MasterChef - plenty of food to keep us going. Some delicious ideas taken away from the trek - we didn’t go without!Sadly my journey was halted at Day 5 due to a massive blister on my heel that decided to get infected. As much as I wanted to finish the next 4 days the decision (mainly by me with advise from a fellow trekker an Ex paramedic) was made that if I continued I risked serious infection and potential sepsis. It was at that time that the travel insurance and expedition leader kicked in - within hours a helicopter was at Kagi and I was on my way to hospital. This evacuation was a massive team effort by Ruth, Peter (in Australia) Jack (PNG) and Clement (one of our guides). I am most appreciative of the work they had to do to get this happening and get me safely back to the hotel from the hospital. On what was the final day of the trek I was collected from the hotel and taken to Owers Corner to great my fellow trekkers. A trip to Bomanna War Cemetery to put the whole trek together and then back to the hotel. That night a farewell dinner with all our porters and fellow trekkers.Ruth our expedition leader was amazing and a wealth of knowledge. All the guides both general and the porters were a godsend - saving us from falls, dragging us up steep hills, assisting with bridge and river crossings, holding onto us on the steep downs making sure we stayed on our feet. They earn every cent of their pay and some…….If you are going to do Kokoda this is the company to go with - anyone hurt - we stayed together and made sure that person was tended to and good to go. No one got left behind. The knowledge of the history was fantastic giving us amazing insight into 80 years ago.So having 4 days yet to do, I will be back and I will be using No Roads.

I couldn't thank the No Roads team, and the PNG guides and people that opened their arms to me, and the crew i trekked with, for making us feel welcome but also supported us through an experience that has changed me forever.
