A beautiful evening spent celebrating my partners birthday. Honestly, the most thoughtful food we have had in Melbourne since dining in Michelin starred restaurants in Europe last year. Chef and his team are so talented, you can feel and taste how much passion goes into each of the courses presented.Strongly recommended.Thank you all so much for a wonderful evening. Already looking forward to our next visit!

Navi is a small, intimate restaurant with good service and food. I had the 8 course tasting menu and each dish (not sure how they're counted but it was more than 8) was beautifully presented and cooked well. Not every dish was to my taste but that's not uncommon for me. Favourite dish of the night was the dessert with insanely creamy ice cream (?) and plum; it was perfection. They use seasonal ingredients so they don't have a set menu as such, but they do have a sample menu on their website and can cater for different dietary requirements. I also had a couple of mocktails with my meal, which were okay.

I went there to celebrate my birthday after hearing rave reviews from friends and online reviews. I had high expectations and Navi didn't disappoint.The food is imaginative and delicious. You can tell it is a work of an artist. I love the idea that they are constantly changing their menu depending on the season and what Julian and his team want to share with their customers.One dish that has always been on the menu is the black garlic and roe macaroon. It is an excellent combination of sweetness savouriness and umaminess. The popping roe added another layer of sophistication and amusement.Aside the food, the thing I appreciate the most about the team is their excellent service. The staff are friendly,attentive and down to earth. Julian despite being the head chef came over to serve us the dishes and give us a quick introduction to the dishes. They gave us a complementary slice of cake and all the staff signed the menu as a nice gesture birthday card. The small touches make all the difference.The restaurant is located in the humble inner west suburb - Yarraville with an unassuming facade. The ambience is low key and you can watch the team laboriously preparing the food and serving customer with a smile on their face. This precisely shows character of the people at Navi - passionate about their craft and food.It is one of those rare gems in Melbourne culinary scene.

We had a wonderful night at Navi. The food was spectacular, each course complementing the previous one. The service was excellent, the timings between each course ideal. We neither felt rushed nor were we ever waiting. And the atmosphere they have created is something very special. It was a beautiful dining experience.

One of my favourite fine dine restaurant in Melbourne! You can tell the chef create every dish with passion and love, they are all unique in their way. This is my second time in Navi, and never get enough of their food!Also I ordered one of their non-alcoholic drink, mandarin, curry leaves, vanilla, is now my favourite drink! I was having second thought about curry leaves as beverage but it turns out really good and I had to order second glass!Can’t wait for my next visit again.
