We are delighted with our bathroom renovations. John and his team did a great job on two en-suites and a powder room. They looked after the apartment very well throughout the job. John is an honest, decent, professional contractor. He is a great communicator with prompt replies to text, email, and calls. He obviously genuinely cares about his clients. Nothing is too much of an effort and he always came up with solutions. It’s a refreshing change to deal with John as a contractor and we would use him again. Very happy to recommend.

We are very happy that we hired this company to renovate our bathroom. Before making the decision to hire them, I have spoken to many many bathroom renovation companies and they all seemed be in a rush to close the deal without even understanding our requirements. The frustration just kept building up until we met John from Tilestone by Vivid. John is incredible. He took his time to understand our requirements and explained the whole process to us. Straight away we knew this guy was the right person to look after our bathroom. After about 5 weeks, we saw a fully renovated and beautiful bathroom! It’s been a great experience working with John and his team. During the process, they have been easy to work with. They are professional and patient. And I highly recommend this company to others!

Tilestone by Vivid recently completed my large and high quality bathroom refurbishment. The end result was excellent, particularly the tiling. John Tourni was very good to work with and very responsive to my requests for changes - often forthcoming with his own ideas.I was very concerned about achieving the highest quality finishes and rejected several other cheaper quotes on the basis of my confidence in John who was very knowlegable on long term functionality and layout options. I would recommend John and his team.

John recently completed a full bathroom renovation for us in an apartment at Pyrmont. We are delighted with the finished product and with the way John worked with us. The project was completed on time, to budget and at a level of quality that we are very happy with.John was particularly good at understanding the need to work with our Strata Committee which he did very well. John and his team did such a great job with our kitchen, I couldn’t recommend him enough. The finished product is amazing.John was a pleasure to deal with and made the whole process very stress free. During the quote stage he gave us some ideas on how to best maximise space and keep costs within our budget and he was also able to design a layout based on what we wanted. We were able to go into his showroom to select tiles, the bench top and the cabinets which made the decisions easier and I totally trusted his opinion on what would look best. During the actual installation, he would keep us updated with the progress and sort out any issues that came up. Thanks John!

We had a negative experience with Tilestone.Approximately $21,000 works were done by Tilestone during a complete bathroom renovation (excluding the cost of fixtures) and Tilesfone also did the tiles for our new kitchen (installed by Freedom). We experienced the following issues.No contract and no contribution to the building insurance scheme.Our concerns raised during the installation of the pipework that some of the plumbing fixtures were going into the wrong place were not taken seriously. This led to the shower head being installed too low to use. This was ultimately fixed by removing tiles and relocating the pipe work but could have been avoided if our concerns raised earlier were addressed.Tilestone put a hole through the bathroom wall into our bedroom and did not tell us or clean up the pile of rubble in our bedroom wardrobe. When we noticed and raised with Tilestone several times, Tilestone was unapologetic. Tilestone reluctantly had one of their tilers (not a plasterer) ultimately attempt to repair the hole - to an unsatisfactory standard.When we suggested, as one option, that we could take some money off final payment for the estimated costs of repairing the hole to a satisfactory standard, I was repeatedly threatened with physical violence and sent immediate demands for payment. The threats of violence were reported to the police. The police advised me that another complaint of threats of violence had been made in the past.Additional cost for extras were added to the final bill. No rate or amount had been agreed for these and I was not made aware these were extras.There are four cracked tiles in the bathroom and two tiles that have become unfixed to the wall in the kitchen. We first alerted Tilestone 3 months ago. Has not been fixed yet. We are considering our options under the warranty.

Tilestone by Vivid exceeded our expectatations for our bathroom renovation. John obviously cares about his workmanship and has a lot of experience. This was reflected in the end product.He was able to source all the products we wanted in brushed nickel. Visiting his shop to see the products and select tiles made things hassle free and avoided us having to shop around suppliers and procure fittings and tiles ourselves.John is a great communicator and he was always responsive throughout the job. He kept us updated and was always contactable when we had questions. The apartment was left spotless after the strip-out (we were warned there would be some dust).We had to delay works after the strip-out due to a leaking bathroom next door but this was not a problem for John and his team - he liaised with the building manager and rescheduled works to meet everyone's requirements.I'd highly recommend John and his team if you want a high-quality and hassle-free renovation for a competitive price.
