The Brown Hare

I've been a regular at the Brown Hare for a bit over a year now. I can't fault it. Suzie is simply a fantastic stylist and colourist, and she's a lovely person as well. Sounds too good to be true? Maybe, but the results speak for themselves. My hair looks better now than it ever has.I've had my share of disasters over the years and my faith in the profession was shaken, but Suzie's managed to win me over. I saw her today--I feel confident and I know my hair looks beautiful.I recommend her salon without reservation.

The whole family has been so pleased with the excellent service at the Brown Hair during the two years we have lived in Box Hill. We have been absolutely happy with all the haircuts, coloring and styling Christine has done. We will surely miss her now when we are moving back to Norway.

I absolutely love my new cut! Christine did an amazing job, she made sure I was leaving with the haircut I wanted! Service and location also cannot be flawed. I’ll be back.

My friend went here to get her hair styled and came home crying it was that bad. Looked like she just woke up… I had to come over to redo it. Don’t get your hair styled here unless you want to redo it yourself!

I have been getting my hair cut by Christine for more than 10 years she does a fantastic job I recently moved house and had someone else cut my hair now I would rather drive 45 minutes to get a good hair cut

Good relaxed and welcoming vibes. I've had 2 cuts here and both made me feel pretty happy and taken care of, and I found it relatively easy to communicate to them what I wanted.(For reference: my current style is pretty contemporary and short, I go for androgynous sorts of looks. Since I know how hard it is to find a place that can get this style right, feels worth mentioning for others who seek that out). It is a bit irritating to pay the gender fee for a short cut but that's such standard practice I don't hold that against any particular place anyway :P

I found this place living locally and haven’t been to another salon since, having moved twice to suburbs further away - I still make sure I return.Their willingness and attention in understanding what I want whilst also aiming to provide a friendly and convivial environment is second to none and a significant reason I feel compelled to write this review.They are extremely skilled and confident with their work and I do not hesitate to say perfection is what they strive for and especially in my case, achieve.I have built lasting friendships with the staff at Brown Hare and hope to continue this for a long time to come.Thanks for the brilliant cuts Brown Hare!
