Bought cooked prawns and potato scallops on the weekend. Prawns were lovely however I have never been a fan of raw potato and that is what the potato was - raw! Easy way to lose business.

Used to be some of the best fish and chips I've ever had, something BIG has changed in the last year or 18 months. Chips get a 1 star now.

One of best homemade fishcakes I have eaten, been here 3 or 4 times service is always fast & friendly. The shop looks clean and prices are reasonable.

Disappointing for all the hype and price. Works burger didn't even have bacon on it. For $12 it really should. The bun was way too big for the beef patty so half the burger was just bread. Seafood, chips etc were good without being amazing though. Fish and chips used to be good value for money, gone are those days.

Decided to try them out last night as they supposed to have won an award for their Fish and Chips. We ordered two pieces of crumbed fish, small chips and two scalloped potato's.NOT impressed could have wrung the oil from the scalloped Potato's to do an oil change on my ute, the chips we had about 2 each and through the rest away as they where so soggy they where disgusting, the fish wasn't to bad.Don't think we will go back again

Ordered 2 pieces of crumb fish n medium chips, the fish was so dry and over cooked couldn't eat it even with the lemon squeezed over it and the chips weren't far behind it. Making it worse I paid $23 for it.

After waiting 40mins for our (Deep fried only) food to be cooked. Whilst watching 3 girls getting around the kitchen like they were stoned zombies. Our food came out cold!! Seriously. How can you take 40mins to cook a springroll and it be cold in the centre? We are travellers, my partner gets a pineapple fritter in every city we stay in. Mackay. You lose. Terrible she said. Now this place catches there own fish. So you'd think it'd be great. Tastes ok but it was half the size of a $50 note. On a plus side the chips and Calamari was ok. Bit of lemon was a nice touch. But overall I would never go there ever again. Poor form.

Have a look at what you were doing between 1992-2013 when you won those awards, the last 6 feeds from North & West Mackay stores were rubbish. You used to serve the best tucker going round. Deadset half of our last purchase went in the bin.

Chips are of the cheap variety. Half are edible, half are not. Homemade fish cake was very salty, mostly potato, not much fish. Diced onion in it was raw. The crumb coating was perfection though. If they could get the inside right it would be a winner.
