Nook On The Hill

Such a special place! Waking up in the morning to that incredible view was amazing, you feel like you're nestled up in the treetops. The outdoor bath was a great way to unwind with a glass of wine while watching the sun set. The simple pleasures of life abound, watching the fairy wrens at your door step chattering away, going about their business, the flocks of cockatoos flying over the mountains ... food for the soul.The Nook is truely a one of a kind experience ... beautiful design, incredible craftsmanship, well appointed, comfortable and a delicious range of local produce provided by the hosts ... everything you could want for the perfect weekend escape. Absolutely loved it!

What an incredible place! We had the most amazing stay at the nook and left feeling completely reinvigorated, inspired and privileged. The design and craftmanship of the Nook is truly breathtaking and needs to be experienced to be appreciated. The views are incredible and from a customer experience perspective, absolutely everything has been considered. Our best short stay experience ever.

This place was pure magic. We had hikes planned but struggled to leave each morning because the house was by far the highlight of our trip! All we wanted to do was watch how the light changed in the space throughout the day. So many gorgeous spaces and thoughtful details. Loved having an early morning bath and watching the emus walk by ✨

I squeezed in a solo getaway at the Nook just before Christmas, and it was amazing. It's a delightful diminutive home that feels a lot more spacious than its small footprint suggests, thanks to its height and the wall of windows making the most of the beautiful views to Gariwerd. Design fans will appreciate the clever layout that allows for a full kitchen and bathroom plus a really roomy sleeping loft with a reading spot; even the spiral staircase doesn't feel cramped. And sustainability fans will love the draughtproof, energy-efficient build powered by solar, and the extensive use of recycled materials that Benj and Holly have handcrafted into a character-filled home. I enjoyed discovering all the neat storage tucked away everywhere, and of course the outdoor bath on a balmy evening was a highlight. Location-wise it doesn't get much better than this, with both privacy and sweeping bushland and mountain views. Treat yourself :-)

My partner and I had a lovely long weekend trip staying at this beautiful home. The space is open and filled with light, and every detail had obviously a lot of thought put into it. The views are stunning, and it truly was a lovely space to come back to after some long hikes!Benj was a delight to deal with, and made sure we had every thing we needed for a great stay. Highly recommend for a special weekend away.

I saw someone use the word 'reinvigorating' to describe the Nook on the Hill which is the perfect word. While the space is decidedly tiny, its design and amenities leave you wanting for nothing. There's plenty of things to read, games to play and top-notch design to keep you exploring the house.Sitting in a bathtub while watching emus and kangaroos mosey around the field across the way is about as reinvigorating as it gets. And the stars, for a city-slicker, are mesmerising. The host Benj is super friendly and passionate about the area and is more than happy to provide tips on what to do in the area. A fantastic weekend getaway.

My stay at Nook on the Hill was absolutely exceptional! It is a beautifully crafted, totally unique home built with love in every detail. Every tiny aspect was considered when it was built and it shows. The gorgeous reclaimed materials all have a story to tell and they add to the personality of the space. It was so relaxing and enjoyable and it was easy to feel completely immersed in the landscape.The views are absolutely stunning! I loved sitting in the book nook with a tea staring at the mountains. What an incredible place to recharge and connect back into what really matters. Benj and Holly have thought of everything. I came away with so much inspiration! Anyone would enjoy a stay here. I can’t recommend it enough!

We had the most incredible time at the Nook on the Hill. The home is absolutely stunning and is a true work of art with the most incredible views. The customer service and support during our stay was second to none, and the beautiful gift basket with local cheese's and wines to enjoy while having a bath outside and watching the sunset couldn't be more perfect. For anyone wanting a very special place to stay in the Grampians we couldn't recommend the Nook on the Hill enough.

My partner and I stayed at the Nook On The Hill. Such a beautiful place. This little house has so much attention to detail. Everything inside the house looks absolutely adorable. The included welcome hamper full of locally made goodies was amazing! The outside bath is clean with piping hot water available. Very private little location! Would defiantly love to return! Also, Benj is an amazing host. couldn't be happier! the Nook truly deserves more than 5 stars! Fantastic!

We spent a couple of nights at the Nook as a special treat for my birthday. It was a lovely getaway for a special occasion, complemented by the beautiful craftsmanship in every detail of the home. Being a short hop out of Halls Gap was a welcome advantage during peak holiday season, and given the property really comes into its own in the evenings, it was an absolute treat to be able to come back to that quiet after a long day in the outdoors. Spent a couple of beautiful summers evenings in the outdoor bath and relaxing under the patio. Really recommend if you love the outdoors, and want somewhere special to stay.
