Had my first session and am really looking forward to developing my skills from a Japanese Goju Ryu Self Defence expert. Bernie Haughey is extremely supportive and understanding. I recently started training in self defence with Bernie at AGKK. As I am a raw beginner he is patiently working through the basics with me. Each session we are adding new layers to my knowledge and skills. Bernie is a dedicated, natural teacher, and a gentleman. Today was my first private self defence lesson.Sensei Bernie is down to earth, patient, encouraging, and friendly.Sensei Bernie delivered high quality instruction and explanation for the body mechanics involved with the techniques demonstrated and how they work to help one defend themselves.The techniques and principles taught are easy to remember and implement in self defense situation.Bernie explained the psychology behind the actions of an aggressor and provided solutions to defend ones self through body language.Bernie provided quality constructive feedback when I needed it.Cant wait for my next lesson.I highly recommend Bernies services to anybody who wants to learn self defence.

Brilliant! My daughter and I have learnt strategies for ensuring our safety through having a protective mindset including how to detect and deflect danger, how to get to safety and how to protect ourselves. Perfectly paced, easy to grasp techniques and strategies. Cannot recommend highly enough!
