Turned up for lunch with 6 guys and the place was quarter full, was told very rudely by some old woman behind the counter that they were booked out. She said we could get takeaway and eat it in the carpark.Good business, you just lost 3-400 dollars.

Such a peaceful, relaxing, beautiful ambient place to enjoy lunch or breakfast and yes, its licensed. :) Have on several occasions enjoyed a glass of Wine or Beer with their fantastic Gourmet Burgers and Chips that believe it or not, are super crispy and golden. For me, a Chip worthy of eating, is one with crunch and doesn't look half cooked. Scenic views of the Murray River and Cliff face. Have also been graced with the Murray Princess cruising past. A beautiful sight to be seen. Coffee and Cake to finish - now that really was the icing on the cake, so to speak ! Popular, especially when its sunny - so consider Booking if you can, to avoid disappointment. Can get a little fresh at times being open to the elements outside, so I usually take a light jacket just in case. Amazing, modern Kids Playground directly across the Road, so there's something for everyone. :)

Great cafe on the river serving good coffee. A great place to break your journey down the Murray. Completely renovated with fresh new look. Good bathrooms. Friendy staff. Outdoor seating with a riverfront view - perfect!

Run by a friendly couple. It's a cafe as much or more than a general store. We have purchased light meals (eg fish and chips, hot dogs, egg and bacon rolls etc) there on multiple occasions - and will do so again in the future.

While driving to various river towns, Bow Hill general store, would be the place to pull over and enjoy a lazy afternoon after having lunch at this place. It has great food at a reasonable price and the staff service excellence. Sit back and enjoy waters edge. for a general store the staff (or the owners) go above and beyond to help and accommodate. highly recommended.Cosi director Cavbiz.

How to ruin what was once a great business! Going for a drive and looked forward to revisiting Bowhill general store for lunch. Under new management with a long set of rules out the front and you are not welcome to drop in and have a meal any more. How ridiculous for a general store and cafe on the river that was once the pride of Bowhill. Did not wish to dine in the car park so I moved on. Will not be back.

Great food, service & awesome position on the riverbank to enjoy a meal with a glass of wine. General store well stocked for houseboats/ski boats etc., to drop in for supplies. Bonus safe mooring to collect yr groceries etc from.
