Used to be fast and efficient but lately some orders are taking two or more weeks. Covid is no longer a reason, so it would be good to see these orders arrive in a timely way again.

Have returned a purchased for a refund. They have sent me an re-stocking fee invoice which I'm happy to pay, but now can't get a return email or someone to pickup the phone to take my call after 3 days of trying to talk to someone. Feels like I have been scammed?

The on-line ordering facility is a substantial improvement compared to the highly unreliable delivery timing offered by email ordering. Delivery periods now appears to be back to what they were some years ago. However, improvements are still needed as recent hardware and software glitches in the on-line ordering system have required lengthy phone calls to sort out.

I am caring for my wife who is bed ridden and I get my supplies through independence. They send me one offs at the same price as bulk orders so that I can try a new dressing and see how it works. My order arrives promptly so we are not waiting long. Every time my wife has a stint in hospital I watch what the nurses use and can get it through Independence to continue her care at home.My only problem is that their website can be slow.

After using IA for years with a very big amounts being spent we are moving all our orders else where as continually being told no stock for a vital medical order due to ‘manufacturing problems’ yet manufacturer states there’s over 33,000 units in Australia. This is something we have ordered for over 5 years.Also delivering food items with less than 5 days for expiry isn’t acceptable! Someone needs to check use by/expiry dates for food items. Only 1 carton of the 6 I ordered arrived so otherwise I would have had 48 days worth to use in 5 days….

Super fast ordering and delivery although delivery and packaging could be improved. Extremely heavy products all put in to one box. I couldn’t lift or move it to bring it into the house. Every time I tried it would rip the cardboard and hurt my back. I had to unpack it outside at the front door and carry everything in separately (incontinence aids and bowel product's. Independence Australia sell products for people with disabilities and that should be considered when packing the boxes. 5 individual parcels is much better than one extremely heavy one!

Rude & uncompassionate customer service!! All is well if your order is in stock & arrives on time but nightmare begins when you don't get your order for whatever reason. Customer hotline keeps you waiting for hours and when staff picks up, they hang up instantly if you happen to be multi-tasking & not responding within the split second. Forget about them calling to inform you if your item is out of stock as well. You have to chase them up yourself (if you can somehow get thru) to try to get your refund. Never ever buying from them again!

You sent wrong items. I couldn’t wait on the phone long term so sent an email. 2 days later I am still waiting for someone to contact me and fix the problem. Your phone system is useless and has been so for a very long time. You need more staff taking calls!
