Bridal Alterations Brisbane

A fantastic, stress-free experience with Ella Moda.For alterations in March, they allowed me to book well in advance (back in November so I could plan!). This weekend, they have done all of my wedding dress alterations (albeit they were simple) in one weekend, dropping it off Saturday and collecting Monday! Karen was so helpful and provided really professional advice and service.Would highly recommend to any bride who would like high quality alterations and excellent service!

I had a lovely experience at Bridal Alterations Brisbane. During my first appointment a lady was in training and it was lovely to see the team support her. On return to collect my dress, the lady in training was serving me solo which was a lovely little full circle moment for me to experience. The ladies were genuinely excited to chat wedding with me and asked to see my ring and about my fiance, despite no doubt doing it all day every day. My dress fits perfectly now and I can't wait for my big day - only 3.5weeks to go!

Be careful, non professional job. They charged $1000 for what it was going to be an easy job. If only they would have sewn up the fabrics instead of leaving a clear cut that would have been appreciated…Also they saw the lace that was removable on my transparent top! so I had to cut it off completely as there were no way I could remove this otherwise as it was originally removable so obviously not mean to be saw on a transparent fabric. The lace was only for hanging the top on a hanger and then once you put in on remove it.I couldn’t get my mum to do this job as she was overseas but If you are used to good tailoring jobs don’t come to this place or you will end up crying as I did when I saw how they had done the job. I was happy to pay for a good job not for this. I didn’t even want to spend more time there as clearly they don’t know how to do the job.In regards to your response -to my review- if you that is a justification for not getting the job properly done, good on you. A professional tailor would have done a completely different job. You have the photos, is not acceptable. I am completely disappointed.

WOW! Ella is incredible. She custom made my wedding gown and it's perfection! Her shop is amazing, her bridal range is amazing and her custom made gowns are amazing! Ella is really lovely, understanding and easy to work with. It was pleasure to have my dress made here!! I would highly recommend Ella Moda to any bride that is looking to purchase or custom make their dream dress. I got so many compliments on my dress and people still ask me where I got mine from. Thank you Ella for making my dream gown come alive, I cant thank you enough!!

I came to Bridal Alterations Brisbane with a size 16 dress, I had lost weight that i was now a size 10. I was really worried that wasn't going to be able to wear my dress. But the ladies at Bridal Alterations Brisbane assured me they would be able to alter the dress perfectly and 6 weeks lately i came in for my final fitting and my dress fit beautifully. Thank you so much Bridal Alterations Brisbane for making my dream dress fit me.

The team here pay really close attention to detail and take really good care with your wedding dress. I had a couple of minor changes I wanted and they didn't hesitate to tend to them straight away! They are genuinely excited for all the brides coming in and share in the excitement with you as you get closer to the wedding day!

In reply to Ella Moda's response left on my review below - That is an extremely disappointing respone. Your store in Milton definitely does do dress alterations in addition to selling bridal gowns. I see this is not the only review left where you have denied alterations made by your store. For that I am leaving a one star review, you could at least acknowledge your complaints.Written by my wife - I don't like writing negative reviews but I have to be honest. I went to Ella Moda as that’s the only place White Lily recommended to get my wedding dress altered. I drove all the way from toowoomba for 3 appointments and at each one I felt like I was being rushed along. At the first visit I asked for a skin colour underlay as well as general alterations. When I arrived on the second visit hoping to pick my dress up two weeks before the wedding they had put a really dark underlay underneath the bust which didn’t match my skin tone at all. The lady said she had received a lighter skin colour material that week that she could use instead. Why they didn’t just wait for the skin colour material that matches my skin in the first place I don’t know I was just glad I had time between this appointment and the wedding. On the third appointment which was 4 days before the wedding the underlay was removed and some bust cups were sewn in as per my request. When I put the dress on the instant response was yes that looks good despite the bust cup visibly sticking out, a red mark on the bust and the waist being all puckered on one side. The lady repositioned the bust cup and steamed the red mark out of the dress and then went to put the dress in the bag. I had to ask to try the dress back on again and that’s when I realised the waist was all puckered on one side which she did fix. I took the dress home and realised the bust cup had been sewn in too tight and was digging into my breast creating an obvious indent so I had to urgently take the dress to a lady in toowoomba to be fixed. This was very stressful especially being so close to the wedding. The dress did look great at the end of all this but unfortunately I cannot recommend going out of your way to get your dress altered here.

100% recommend this place for your bridal alternations. I came here with my dress for some tricky alterations and all the staff I dealt with were amazing! Nothing I suggested was too difficult and I appreciated their advice. The dress fits amazingly and exceeded all my expectations. The staff are absolutely amazing.

THE BEST! Ella and Claire were super friendly from the beginning! I have a wedding dress that needed lots of alteration in a 2-day rush, and they did amazing job!! they even helped with looking after my little baby during fittings! :) Their own dresses are soooo pretty as well wish I had tried them on from the start! So Happy and definitely will recommend to everyone!

Buying the dream wedding dress is one thing, but getting it to fit just right is just as important. My alterations experience with Ella Moda was one of full confidence and ease. My dress was intricately beaded all over and required hemming and tightening around the waist and straps, and as it was a sample sale dress, it also required a few minor mends. The initial fitting was great with a detailed quote provided in a clean, professional setting. When I came to collect my dress, it fit perfectly, and everything was done neatly and to a high standard. After having a previous cheap and unprofessional seamstress experience, I was relieved to have found Ella Moda and very much felt in safe hands - you certainly get what you pay for, and after investing in a beautiful wedding dress, it makes sense to do it justice with quality alterations.
