One of the prettiest places I’ve ever seen. The local indigenous people are to be congratulated for sharing this large camp ground and beautiful swimming hole with everyone. The camp ground was almost full when we arrived so the small toilet block struggled to cope although it was a long weekend

Great stop over or short stay. Well looked after by rangers. Refreshing river to soak away the travel bugs. I'll be back with my camper soon.Easter time gets booked out months in advance...so best times to stay are non holiday times .

Great place to camp. Be careful, very slippery rocks in the swimming area. And take good insect repellent. Otherwise clean and comfortable.

Really nice place to camp. The waterfall is not too far from the camping area, there is a short hiking track to a lookout at the top of the falls. The day use area is nice for a picnic, and swimming area for a nice dip.

Shared Easter holidays with family and friends. Great location and beautiful walks to the top and bottom of the waterfall. Love that there are extra bins although the toilets could have done with a couple of demountable toilets for the amount of people there.

Really big camping area. Plenty of space for everyone and plenty of fire pit / water point. Nice walk to the top of the fall with beautiful lookout over the valley. Couples of swimming pools close to the day area. Facilities were clean. Make sure you book ahead as there are no phone coverage over there.

Such a beautiful large grassy and treed campground. Flushing toilets, cold shower, fire wood bbqs and fire pits for cosy nights around the fire looking at the stars, be sure to bring your own firewood. Rubbish bins are also provided.Very peaceful with the sound of the waterfall heard in the distance. Lovely swimming holes with crystal clear water. Nice walk to the very top of the falls with views across the valley. Resident Cassowary that likes to visit most evenings.

Lovely large, open campground situated beside Murray falls and downstream swimming holes. Facilities include flushing toilets, a cold shower, rubbish bins, coal BBQs and fire pits. Activities include short boardwalk to see the falls with a longer hike taking you to the top, bike track for the kids and crystal clear swimming holes with natural water slides. A must do!

Absolutely fantastic place to stop for a picnic on the way from Townsville to Cairns. You'd probably want to stay for longer - each time I come here, I never want to leave! Takes about half an hour drive from the turn-off on the main road and it is relatively easy to find following the signs. Nice easy drive, any vehicle should be able to come through. There are camping grounds with toilets and showers. If the water is warm enough you can go for a dip or a swim - there is a swimming hole there. Be careful though claiming those big rocks - we've been told by a local ranger that some people died there, slipping on the wet rocks, and now you are not allowed to claim the rocks next to the waterfall.
