worst bakery in Melbourne that i’ve ever been too, first of all put some light in the place so it doesn’t look depressing second of all making a ham and cheese croissant was a task that they couldn’t fulfill as there was no ham so i had to substitute for cheese and tomato not mu preference, asked for it toasted and received cold as the toaster wasn’t on at 9am what is that. shocking product ended up at the bakery down the road as the food was so dull and disappointing and may i add the cafe down the road was far superior.

Sensational vanilla slices. Best was raspberry followed closely by caramel, plain and French! Recently read about them winning the Great Australian Vanilla Slice Triumph for so many years and just had to try them this weekend. Not disappointed!

The only place in Melbourne to get a delicious Napoleon cake. It's a sponge cake with pastry and jam. Used to be very popular years ago. Baked to perfection

Wide range of both sweet and savoury goodies. Delicious but you pay for the quality. Hoping to order our birthday cake from here mid next year. Friendly helpful staff. Vanilla slices overpriced and very overrated. Might have won awards years ago but not now

I’m glad this is our local bakery, as I’ve only had good experiences! The staff are lovely and helpful. Their vanilla slice is absolutely delicious, and I can never get enough of their mini Vienna loaves! Great variety, I recommend!

Such an unassuming spot but the trophies says it all! This shop looks old and tired on the outside. Boy! The vanilla slice are the best I have tasted in my limited experience in Melbourne!! Crunchy pastry with lovely fresh fillings everytime I go there!! There are more than five flavours to choose From! Not only nice, the prices are great too!! This place is hard to beat! I hate it when people promise the world but does not deliver! This place does everytime! It certainly makes Bayswater proud! The Heavenly pies is another iconic place!

The best vanilla slices in the world, possibly the universe. Cannot come to Melbourne from QLD without a visit to the fake kitchen. Family favourite for many many years. Do yourself a favour and try one!
