Southern Cross Vet Inner West

Took my dog to SC vets for a lap spay. Cannot recommend the procedure highly enough. Lupe was back to normal as soon as she woke up from surgery. The hardest part was keeping her quiet as she acted like normal from day one. For anyone that has felt the guilt of putting your pet through those days of extreme discomfort after spaying this is the procedure for your next little one. The care and service was great however that for me is secondary. What mattered was the result of the surgery and that speaks for itself. The picture is from 18 hours later. We cannot express enough how grateful we are to the amazing team at SCV. They recently performed a life-saving airway surgery on our beloved pug (named Pug) who was suffering from laryngeal collapse.The entire team, from the reception to the nurses (special thanks to nurse Cindy and nurse Bruna), Dr Neil (surgeon), Dr Scott (anaesthetist) and Dr Sam, went above and beyond. Thanks to them, our pug made an excellent recovery from the surgery and is breathing easier than ever before!The team worked together seamlessly to make sure that our pug received the best care possible. Dr Neil was highly skilled and performed the surgery with great care, ensuring that our pug was comfortable throughout the process. They kept us updated throughout the entire process and made sure that we were comfortable with all decisions that needed to be made.We wanted to also express gratitude to our beloved vet Dr Sam for the care and attention he has provided to us. Throughout the course of our Pug’s treatment, he was always available to offer guidance and support.We highly recommend SCV to anyone seeking top-notch veterinary care for their furry friends. Fantastic vet! They performed a very comprehensive exam to diagnose her luxating patella, and the specialist orthopaedic surgeon did a wonderful job, she’s healing very well and actually loves going to the vet. The concierge service is also amazing, Marc was super friendly with Lola and she actually behaved well for him in the car which I was shocked to hear as she’s awful for the whole family. I’ve made SCV her regular vet now and the conceit he service has saved my family a lot of anxiety and our eardrums!

Unethical practice, will administer unnecessary medications (unrelated to conditions + have fatal side effects) with the intentions of profit vs a genuine care for the health of your animal. They load up the bill with with astronomical medication costs and then tell you it is how they cover their overhead costs. You will pay more for the consult elsewhere but get a better service and not risk harming your pet. Also, the way the owner responds to reviews, gives you an insight into how they disrespect their clients (both people and pets).

We couldn’t ask for a better Vet for our much-loved dog, Bear ! Bear is 2 yrs old now but he has been going to SCV St Peter’s since he was a puppy.Bear our Labrador had sent us on more than a few panic visits after ingesting items he shouldn’t have! But on every visit, Bear received top care and attention from the brilliant doctors, nurses, and reception staff.SCV not only strives to go over and beyond for their clients, they extend the same to those in need through ‘Project Hope’. Top vet with a heart!

Last week I went to see The Southern Cross Inner West Vet at St Peters for the first time with my Collie Rough and Black Labrador.I cannot tell you how impressed I was with both the care and advice that I received from the vet plus the attention and general attitude and demeanour of all the nursing staff.I was made to feel at home immediately and the atmosphere in the waiting area was made most enjoyable by the nurses having a laugh and joke with you rather than leaving you sitting in silence as is normally the case in most medical establishments whether it be for humans or animals.The service offered by the clinic of picking up animals and transporting them to and from the clinic is something else that I was most appreciative of and have neve been offered elsewhere. Mark, the gentleman that transported my dogs to and from the clinic was someone else who could not have been more polite and helpful to me and his conscientious attitude to his job was a credit to both himself as well as his employer.I have been very happy with the service that I have received from previous vets that I have been associated with however, I have to say, that what I have just experienced at The Southern Cross Inner West Vet at St Peters has set the bar at a far higher level for me to judge on.

The doctors, nurses and staff at Southern Cross Vet over at St Peter's have been wonderful in looking after our Astro from when she was 8 weeks old. She loved the weekly puppy parties. The staff, especially Dr Stephen and Dr Viktoria took great care of her when she went through bouts of ear infection, tooth extractions, upset tummies etc. We know she's well looked after because our girl gets super excited and happy to see the staff whenever we take her to the vets. For that peace of mind, I'm glad we chose Southern Cross Vet for our little pupster.

Thank you for the care and compassion you and your team have provided to my best mate Jackson. He was always scared of going to the vet’s particularly when he was at his most vulnerable. But the team at SC always made him feel calm and in friendly hands.We have really appreciated the care you have given to our family over the past 8+ years and importantly the care we received mostly recently.I would like to commend all your staff for the love and compassion they gave at the most difficult time in our little guys life.Thank you,Daniel & Zareen
