3 stars seems pretty fair for the entire experience. The downside: LEECHES!!! Yes, leeches, ladies and gentlemen. The half hour trek through damp bushland down to the beach drew 3 leeches into my shoes which freaked me out. On the return trip, about 10 of the buggers latched onto me! So, plz check ur shoes and socks, even if u don't feel anything. The upside, the nudity itself in the ocean. Felt free. Difficult to explain as it was my first time. Late in the afternoon. No one there but me.

Despite the sign that says track closed, many people are still enjoying the delights of Werrong Beach. Now that the track has dried out, it is a relatively easy walk of about 30 minutes each way. The last bit down to the beach is somewhat steep and uneven but take your time and it's quite safe. Remember to take water, sunscreen and a towel. You needn't bother with a swimming cossie. There's shade up amongst the trees if it gets hot. The beach has recovered most of its sand again. The track itself is a journey in itself, to be enjoyed au naturel'. Just watch out for the roots down at the beach and in the bush."

Amazing nude beach just south of Sydney and a favourite place to take couchsurfers and people visiting Sydney - Werrong is an amazing spot, its about a 30 min walk from the Otford lookout through rain forest to the beach. With the recent storms the end part of the trial has been damaged but you can still access the beach - make sure you wear shoes good for hiking though! The beach has a bit of storm debris and the surf can be dangerous so best only to go in upto your knees unless you are used to the surf. There's a great grassed area behind the beach where you can chill and enjoy the sun. Nearly everyone goes nude there so keep that in mind if your visiting! and make sure you take plenty of water as the walk back up can be hot.

I have been there few times. Nice gay beach. Nudity allowed as its a nude beach. Mostly gay men from 20 to 60. Very nice place!

Werrong Beach
There's a reasonable descent down to the beach so I'd recommend this only for those with reasonable fitness, and wear solid footwear. Light drizzle made the track down quite slippery for me. Picked up a few freeloading leches along the way too. The beach is quite nice but not for swimming. As some have mentioned, the pile of rubbish is quite disappointing.

Went on a mildly wet day, definitely some slippery points in the trail as well as leeches. The beach at the end of the trail was well worth the short hike.

Werrong Beach
An absolutely sensational place! It is a secluded and very natural beach with beautiful grassy areas to sit and enjoy the pristine environment. It's at the southern end of the Royal National Park about one hour's drive south of Sydney. You access it via the Otford Lookout on Lady Wakehurst Drive. Go up the stairs on the left hand side of the lookout and walk along the track for a few hundred metres until you see the sign for Werrong Beach where the track branches off to the right. What you'll then experience is a quite steep and challenging pathway down through a lush rain forest that's really quite magical. You'll hear lots of birds and as you get closer to the beach, the sounds of the waves beckoning you.Someone has written in another review Trust me

Werrong Beach is definitely worth the walk there and back from the Coastal Track. The start of the track is easily accessed from Otford. The track passes through beautiful forest with occasional glimpses afforded of the ocean. The beach itself is spectacular, and there are lots of grassy areas to sunbathe on. Werrong is a legally designated nudist beach.

Around two hours there and back. The walk gets quite steep but there's plenty of shade. Beach is not big but there's a few spots for a picnic.
