*sale manipulation* - Make you feel nervous for wanting a refund. A staff member interrupted my conversation about a return with another staff , demanding a reason almost trying to intimidate by giving limitations - power trip. “Change of mind” apparently isn’t a valid reason when “change of mind” is why most returns happen. I’ve worked a long retail stint & a daily budget shouldn’t pressure employees to interrogate and dominate returns esp 2 days after the purchase. Process is making me want to return the air purifier too. (Returned a heater because it gave me & my 3mocongestion)

UPDATE - The Store Manager very kindly contacted me, apologised for the unacceptable behaviour of her driver and attempted to resolve the issue with great professionalism. Thank you.Harvey Norman Preston today have succeeded in making my day extremely stressful due to their incompetence.I had a mattress and bedhead delivered to my home. When I originally purchased the goods just before the end of last year, it was made very clear to Sally, the sales assistant, that I lived in a double-storey home, so this was specified in the delivery notes that the men would need to carry it upstairs.One of the men was extremely rude, aggressive and unprofessional. He very rudely demanded that we remove the paintings off the wall in the stairwell. I understand that he may have been concerned about causing damage, but I'm sorry, that is not the way to talk to customers! He misread the notes and complained about having to carry the mattress upstairs, although he did acknowledge this and he then apologised. Still, this was just the tip of the iceberg!I just want to say, shame on you Harvey Norman, a massive multi-million dollar company, for not providing your delivery personnel with EFTPOS and credit card paying facilities! It was extremely time consuming to call the store and process the payment over the telephone, and for some stupid and unknown reason - and to NO FAULT of my own, the payment would not go through. I was then forced to leave the men parked in front of my house in order to drive to the Preston store myself to see what the hell was going on. The payment then went through in store without any issues at all, as I had plenty of funds. And on top of that, I had to try and ring my bank to see if everything was OK as by this stage, I was so stressed out and extremely agitated. Of course, being a Saturday, there was no answer after being put on hold for over 20 minutes, it was a complete disaster.After I went back home, my mother and I changed around the base and we did quite a fair bit of lifting and moving around on our own, because we then decided to place the mattress upon a different base, as the other one was a bit too high. And guess what? The mattress was not even that heavy - my mother and I, TWO WOMEN managed to lift it without any dramas, and then we have TWO MEN complaining like a bunch of wusses!Thank you Harvey Norman for making my weekend after a long and hard week of work a most stressful one. Your floor staff are often quite rude and abrupt, and you have many issues to fix otherwise you risk losing many loyal customers like myself. I deserve some sort of compensation for everything I have been put through and I will definitely take this to senior management.Not happy after the thousands of dollars that me and my family have spent here over the years. This is the last you will see of us.
