Wow what a contrast of experiences… In 2015I engaged what I thought was a “buyers agent” when I purchased an off the plan apartment in North Ryde. I subsequently discovered that this individual was aligned with the property developer and received a large kickback. This property has performed very poorly over time and has actually reduced in value. After speaking to a college they advised me that I should engage an independent buyers agent that charges an upfront fee and does not receive any kickbacks from finding a property. They referred me to the team at Buildup Buyers Agency. I really liked their investment strategy, they buy established properties in high growth locations backed by research.
