Crown Relocations

I moved from Melbourne to Singapore. The Crown movers as well as their local agent were very helpful and very professional. Their friendliness and professionalism really helped made an otherwise stressful event less agonising. My items arrived in good condition and all accounted for except for slight damage to two of my more bulky furniture. I was kept informed and up-to-date with respect to my shipment without the need for me to follow up. I would definitely move with Crown again.

The first part of the relocation was great (pack and move) and the service was attentive and nice, however, Crown were also tasked with finding my temporary (1 month+) accomodation and I was put up in a terrible claustrophobic Quest apartment (cold, facing a brick wall, loud). I asked for an Airbnb and was told that’s not their policy (so was left with dismal choice). Surely the policy should put customer ahead of a policy which forces them into cramped cold accomodation!

The ground staff ie packers/unpackers were wonderful. The sales staff in Australia advised we were required due to Xmas to get everything packed mid December which we did and paid for the service. We were assured our belongings would arrive end of Jan. Didn't get here til end of April!Nothing like camping for nearly 5 months. Angry and disappointed.

Terrible!!!! We still haven’t received our belongings and are being asked for more money and no one at crown is answering my emails!I have multiple friends making the move back soon and they will all be told of how Crown brine their contract and left us without our belongings for months and they work with a company that holds your stuff hostage and demands more money!!!Just a terrible experience and would never recommend!!!!

I was very happy with the service provided by Crown. The staff were very skilled and knowledgeable. If we need to move somewhere else again interstate we would definitely use Crown.

Sydney to Adelaide move by road. Beware of all the promises being made at the start of the quote and valuation. What is promised by the agents does not get followed up as they use contractors (usually Grace Removals) to do most of the work and there is no chain of responsibility. Despite having self-packed 80% of our items we were quoted almost the full price and by the time of payment, using every possible clause, they extracted the full price. Insurance is a scam and they make you doubt their initial promise of taking care of your items. Spent weeks on calls each day to find out where our missing tv unit was. It was eventually found in the next freight delivery, delivered to us after Teo weeks, had very rude and insulting delivery guys, who left the unit on the kerb, as it got scratched eventually, and is now missing a few studs for the shelves inside. The sub-contractors for Grace (yes it was further sub-contracted) were unprofessional, rude and sneaky. While I was trying to assist in getting the stuff in, one assistant sneaked past and got my wife to sign off on the sheets. Left us feeling quite vulnerable and cheated.When trying to contact them again for cracked furniture and missing items, suddenly they won’t answer your calls while before they were all very sweet with personalised mobile numbers. Then there is a back-n-forth email and totally understood the agents were equally clueless about how to resolve it. The irony was if this was the experience I wanted I could have directly used a cheaper mover, paid about $2500 less and then known what I was getting into. This felt like walking into a premium car showroom and then being delivered a second-hand rust-bucket and praying you live. Of all the moves (in India about 8 times, to Dubai and in Dubai against about 8 times, to Australia) I’ve organised in my lifetime, this was the worst - not worth a single dollar I paid them. They are probably great for corporate clients, but definitely will not recommend them for personal moves ever. It’s a brain-wrenching experience.

Terrible service and would not recommend these guys to anyone. I've been nice with 1 star as they deserve none at all.Definitely would not use them again. We paid for a container to ensure our stuff arrive on time as they told us two months but it took almost 6 months.Our stuff arrived damaged and also received invoice from subcontractor for payment and we told to get resolve any payments with Crown directly.The tracking portal they provide for you to monitor for shipment is highly unreliable as we saw on goods where due to arrive and then updated overnight and change 1-2 wks of arrival to much later date with no real explanation or justification. Shocking and terrible especially when relocate a young family.The worst and expensive service. They promised a lot but under delivered on so many fronts.Avoid and skip this company completely. The subcontractors hired at the delivery end were simply rude, unprofessional, impatient and fall to understand people are relocating and tejir services is to make things a bit easier.They don't see and understand how much is involved with families relocating to a new country, place, culture etc..

While the initial sales process was fine, the overall process was an absolute disaster. The complete inability to give a meaningful estimate of delivery, the complete failure to keep to every estimate given (there were many), the bizarre and completely unexplained delays (spanning well over 7 months from uplift to delivery), the hidden costs (a separate fee for moving the items above Level 1 in a building) and, to add insult to injury, the absolute failure to do what was paid for and contracted in the form of unpacking my items, was outrageous. No company that faces any form of meaningful competition could operate how Crown does - it was a disgrace.

Disappointed that due to a miscommunication I was charged extra after the fact. The consultant came to do an in person quote, however the people behind the scenes did not have all. The information that was provided. I had used Crown twice before. Seemed very unorganised this time around considering I was a return customer who understands how interstate moves work. Nil issues with the actual removalists and move. Except the box with important things was not actually packed with what I needed so it was difficult to find important items fast. At the Brisbane end the team were fantastic.

Moved from Melbourne to Auckland. A guy came and wrapped everything and packed everything for us. The crew came the following day and loaded everything into the container. The men who loaded the container were really good at packing the container tightly so there were no gaps. Communication was very good also.
