Tumut 3 Power Station
A nice spot for a day trip. Picnic area was well maintained and looks like new BBQ was installed recently. Views were beautiful.Only complaint is that the only public toilets in the area were locked due to “Covid Restrictions”. The closest toilets are either back in Talbingo or up further at the Talbingo Dam boat ramp.

Tumut 3 Power Station
We have seen a number of Power Stations driving around Kosciusko NP and almost skipped this one. What we liked about this one is that you can drive really close to those tubes ( can drive behind it) and see how massive they actually are. Worth the short detour.

Tumut 3 Power Station
I find the pipes to the power station fascinating. The sheer size of them - 5.6m diameter. The power station itself is amazing. We were on a day trip, so short of time but I believe you can tour the power station - worth checking.Definitely worth the drive. It is only a couple of kilometres past Talbingo. There is a short drive from Tumut3 up to its feeder dam, Talbingo Dam. Great picnic area and make sure you drive between the pipes and the station for some photos.Read up on the facts - amazing stuff.Top spot!
