Balloon Aloft Canberra

Amazing experience that everyone should do. So well run. I was worried I'd be nervous going up but the pilot was great and it was so smooth and stable I just enjoyed every moment. Thanks guys.

We had such a wonderful morning this morning ballooning over Canberra to celebrate my daughters wedding with my family and some very dear friends. The day was stunning. Our pilot Kim and the ground crew were incredibly professional and competent. We felt very safe and it was an experience I’ll never forget- so serene and peaceful. Definitely a tick on the bucket list for me

From beginning to the end of our trip this was a fantastic experience. All the staff were professional, knowledgeable and friendly. We had the opportunity to take part in the inflating and putting away of the balloon. Everybody took part and thoroughly enjoyed it. We had a perfect morning and our ride was smooth, as were BOTH our landings! Our first landing was little boggy underfoot so Gary took off again and we floated a further few hundred meters to somewhere more favourable. Bonus!Most unexpected was the photos that we were sent afterwards (there is a camera mounted on the balloon) - No extra charge and the photos were great. I would highly recommend this company

I had a balloon flight over Canberra in March with my sister. It was a novel experience travelling over gorgeous Canberra during the balloons aloft festival. Weather permitting!!! If you're curious I recommend it. It wasn't anywhere near as scary as I thought it would be and I'm a little scared of heights nowadays. We went on the Qatar Airways balloon. They don't give you a choice of balloon - this is allocated on the morning of the flight.What they don't tell you is that some balloons have at least 18 people jammed into them. There is almost no wriggle room. If you're unlucky enough to get in first, you will stand under the hot noisy gas jets which is unpleasant and a bit intimidating. On our balloon the camera taking shots of the group was on the other side, so we had no images taken of us in the compartment furthest from the camera. They told us photos were taken every 5 seconds - yes but they only provided 6 and these were pretty horrible shots of a very crowded balloon. Our pilot also flew very high for most of the flight so we didn't get close to the lake. Finally, the photos always show the balloons over Parliament House and the foreshore but most of the balloons take off from areas well away from Questacon. We had to get a bus to Campbell Primary School.Loved flying slowly overCanberra, its magnificent. But for the cost of the balloon flight, please don't pack us in like sardines.

Ballooning over Canberra wow we can’t recommend this experience highly enough.We flew over our fair City taking in Lake Burley Griffin the early morning rowers and then to top it off,the tree tops of the magnificent National Arboretum which was like a fairy tail.Thank-you to our Pilot and crew who were absolutely delightful,after landing we shared a champagne and talked about how ballooning first began.Much appreciated.Dot Danette Jacq and Gerry

The whole experience from start to finish was incredible. You start at the Hyatt and finish with a champagne. So peaceful up there! Really cool to see Canberra from a different perspective.
