Goodstart Early Learning Hawthorne

Fantastic!This is the third centre I've sent my kids to and we are so happy. The staff are lovely and caring and every day my son comes home with a huge smile and lots of stories.They recently renovated and the rooms look so fresh and full of life.Can't fault this place.

We couldn’t recommend this daycare more, and the reason is simple: the staff. When you find a daycare where all the staff members are so caring, lovely, committed to their job and with a positive attitude every time I go pick up my kid, it is priceless. Definitely the difference is marked by the employees and how they treat the kids and the amount of feedback provided to us the parents. 100% recommended and thanks once again to all the wonderful educators of Goodstart Hawthorne ♥️

I am so grateful that we found Hawthorne Goodstart. Kate is the director and her team of professional and talented educators have been a great fit for our 2.5y.o daughter who is does 4-days a week in Senior Toddler. We moved to Brisbane from Sydney almost a year ago and I applied to several childcares in advance. Hawthorne Goodstart stood out as the best value for money - professional, hard-working, friendly, safe, good humour, and down-to-earth culture. I get the sense that there is something special about this particular goodstart centre. I hear stories about other Goodstarts in Brisbane that sound nothing like the high quality of care we get with Kate and her staff. The renovated chapel gives a warm homely feel and there is plenty of space indoors and outdoors as well as chickens. The educators know their stuff from the detailed posts on Story Park about their observations of your child and how they are tailoring your childs learning programs. The staff are very polite and appear to love their jobs which is a sign of good organisational culture. The other parents are also very kind and sociable with the odd get-togethers throughout the year. Highly recommend having a tour.

Our family is very happy with this daycare. The quality of care is the best, the educators are genuinely invested in the children’s happiness, wellbeing and learning. The director is amazing and has created a great little community. The facilities are clean, very rarely any illnesses, and communication between families and staff is frequent.

As new parents, we had no experience with Daycare Centers. It was difficult to choose a centre. We wanted a place that would be safe, educational, and close to home. We found what we were looking for. Our daughter is being cared for by people that truly care about her and want to see her to well in life. We love to hear and look at photos daily about the things that she is experiencing and learning.We appreciate very much that the educators are teaching and not just watching" her.Everyone at Goodstart in Hawthorne are very caring and lovely. My little girl gets so excited every Monday to go to her daycare."

I have found the Goodstart Hawthorne to be a great centre for my son. The teachers have a caring nature and give your children the required comfort they need throughout the day. This has made it easier for me to leave my son. The kids have large play areas inside and out which is great! Thank you!

A great, nurturing environment for children. The carers and educators are experienced & caring, you can see their genuine passion about children’s education. The centre is clean with spacious outdoor play areas, a veggie patch & chooks. I love that it’s play based learning as well.I have seen my children blossom and grow during their time there. They love the educators, and have made some wonderful friendships. They’ve learned so much and I love that their focus on school readiness is not limited to academic achievement but on a more holistic approach - improving a preschooler’s ability to do things independently & communication skills with peers & adults so they can navigate prep confidently.PS I felt it necessary to address the review about the children going to the Centre & getting scrapes. In my humble opinion, I think children will have accidents and/or minor scrapes when they play. It will happen at the Centre no more frequently than it would if your child is under your own care (provably even less than in other care centres) as this is part of a young child’s learning journey. Any incidence is addressed promptly as appropriate (I get a call immediately or a report at day end pickup) & I’ve observed the children treated with care & cuddles whenever they have a fall or scrape.

A fabulous centre, my daughter adores all the staff who are incredibly patient and kind with her. Feedback and communication with parents is excellent, I love seeing all the stories about what she and her friends have done during the day. They have chickens and a great veggie garden which I think is fantastic for the kids. We have had nothing but a wonderful experience here!!!

My daughter has been attending Goodstart Hawthorne since she was 15 months old (now 22 months) and we love it. The director (Kate) & educators have all been so approachable, caring and supportive of my daughter and the other little ones. The environment is lovely and clean with decent indoor & outdoor areas (with chickens and a veggie patch!). The daily programme follows the same structure however activities are varied which is great for curious little learners & adventurers alike. Highly recommend!
