Wow - even our dog thinks that this place deserves a hat! We drove 2.5 hours for lunch, high exceptions and hopeful that the “dog friendly” with a chefs hat was going to live up to expectations! Blew us away with service as soon as we arrived and the menu is something you’d expect some urban kitsch fine dining restaurant in Sydney! Amazing beverage menu, beers were a stand out and just fast high quality bar staff that were friendly under festive season assault!

Dinner with family over the June long weekend. Great atmosphere and the local ales were top shelf. The food unfortunately was sub standard. All 5 diners had either Wagu beef or the lamb rump. Both dishes were so chewy we left our meals unfinished. To the credit of the wait staff they acknowledged the poor quality of the food and discounted our bill. Won't be in a rush to return.

With some of the best + freshest beers brewed on site to go alongside fresh produce cooked over fire made this one of the most memorable dining experiences I have had lately. The staff were fantastic and friendly and took the time to answer any questions. I can't wait to step back through the doors of The Milton Hotel again.

Great beer, & incredible food coming out of the wood oven. Had to restrain myself from helping myself to the flatbreads as they came out. Only thing, the waitress told us the lamb shoulder would feed 2, ‘maybe 2 ½’, but actually would probably easily feed a family of 5. Still the 3 of us gave it a good crack. At the end one of the waiters said ‘oh yeah that’s for 4 people…’

Great location, beautifully renovated, impressive (won’t suit everyone) menu and clearly a significant investment in craft beer sales……but. The Sunday we attended for lunch they were clearly understaffed, (staff were apologetic and “doing their best”).The “Sunday Surcharge” on purchases seemed at odds with the constant queue at the bar (sole barmaid serving lunch crowd) and the inability to provide a table for lunch. The food was of a standard above “normal” Pub fare, the prices reflect this (extra for most side dishes) and are something to consider.

The food here is so, so good. Everything was delicious and quite memorable. One of the best meals i’ve had in a while and reasonably priced. There is “good food”, and then there is setting the bar so to speak. This place is definitely setting the bar… Keep it up.

A delightful surprise. Haven’t been back to this pub in 10 years. It’s been renovated so you can enjoy drinks outside looking over onto the water. Food was delicious and service fantastic. Love that it’s dog friendly and has a great outdoor area for families.

Amazing food, great beers, fabulous views and unbelievable service. Dean was outstanding and really took care of us and made our lunch very special. The brisket was a highlight along with the parfait. And the pretzel and miso sundae- random and fantastic!

One of my favourite pubs. Beautifully renovated, great beers brewed on site, beautiful views from the deck, great courtyard and play area for the kids. Can’t recommend highly enough.

The craft brews are amongst the best I have tasted and is matched by quite a unique and satisfying menu. The double Bock and stouts were absolutely delish and matched by superb wood fired prawns and wood fire flatbread with fermented tomato and pimento. Reportedly by a hatted chef and it showed.Friendly and accomodating staff will ensure many return visits.
