After a year of Navel Gazers belly dance classes I can't say enough about how impressed I am with Melusina as a teacher. Her ability to skilfully explain techniques combined with her warmth and humour make every class a pleasure that lifts the spirit. She has total empathy for every student's level and confidence in their dancing. She corrects us very considerately and clearly loves to see us improve. I have had dozens of dance teachers in other styles over decades and Mel is outstanding among them as well as being a beautiful dancer and soul.

Mel is such an amazing talented belly dance teacher and friend! She is so passionate and skillful. Her dance is so beautiful, she has led me to an amazing belly dance world. I love it so much because of her influence. English is not my native language, so I always have questions about movements, but she is always so happy to explain and dance again and again for me until I understand. Mel is a beautiful dancer and teacher. Belly dance has been a essential tool in my healing journey. It has helped moved stagnant energy as well as taught me to relax my pelvis area which has been great for my post-partum healing. After 1 year of dancing I feel like a different person. Mel is really thorough and covers the right amount of techniques in every class to keep you coming back for more! I have thoroughly enjoyed her weekly lessons - they bring back the spark of energy to any dull work day.(I also secretly enjoy watching her grace in belly dancing and want to be like her when i grow up :-))

Learning belly dance had always seemed unattainable to me until I met Melusina! I have never seen any instructor break difficult belly dance moves into easy steps like Mel! She's so patient and professional that I've never seen her not smiling, no matter how wrong things go! She's a natural artist & so skilled and I love that her work embed both softness and playfulness of traditional Egyptian belly dance and the edge of modern tribal fusion. For me, our sessions are not just about learning a dance, but a form of moving meditation to be grounded & come back to my body from daily life challenges. Her instructions has also improved my posture, confidence and the way I present myself in life. I enjoy dancing with her so much that it's 100% worth the long drive for me!

Melusina’s teaching style is fun, professional and thorough. Melusina is so committed to her school, she puts on concerts twice a year which are so magical and a wonderful way to demonstrate all we have learned through the year. My dance class is often one of my favourite times of the week and I’m so grateful for all that Melusina does to make this possible.
