I’m writing this as a wake up call for the management team at the cemetery.VERY poor maintenance of grounds.I visited my mum’s grave yesterday and was appalled at the long grass, frangipani debris at the entry, palm fronds lying over graves and markers.I actually work in a team managing the maintenance of a smaller interstate cemetery and there would be disciplinary letters in the future of the staff supervisor.If your management don’t allow enough time or resources to you, consider things like getting a MOU with the Prison to supply labour via low security inmates. It’s free.

Thorak Regional Cemetery opened in 1988 and in 1990, the crematorium facility was added to the site.The Thorak Regional Cemetery was named after Klaus Thorak, a distinguished veterinarian with the Primary Industries Branch who, together with his wife and son, was killed in an aeroplane accident whilst on his way to Timor. The road so named leads to the forestry area known as Thorak Reserve and passes in the vicinity of the cemetery.Thorak Regional Cemetery is maintained by the Litchfield Council.

I Find Peace In Visiting My Families Grave Site On My Own Or With My Boys. I Come Here When My Soul Urges Me To Make A Visit. I Give The Burial Sites A Clean Up If Necessary. Also I Pay Respects To The Many Others That I Know,Who Are Here. The Cemetery Is Well Maintained By The Carers That Work Here. Which Is Great.

I am equal parts appalled and disappointed .. 6 weeks ago we paid for a headstone for a cremation space in the columbarium .. My Dads Wife has been out there every week in tears because she can't find him. At the time they promised 2 to three weeks!
