A new balcony, replaced windows with multi-panel sliding doors, new deck and pergola, multiple external repairs to timber and brickwork. Whole house external painting. Harris was the only company (quotes from 5 others) who could supply the talent and resources to do all I needed. One company, great teams, pride in all works. Not the cheapest, but without doubt, the best around. Very highly recommended.

Glen and Anun did an amazing job of painting the inside of my house. The whole effect was a brighter, fresher look, all completed in a week. No mess, no fuss. A big thank you to Mario and the team.

We recently had our kitchen renovated by M.J. Harris Group, as well as flooring and painting in other areas of the house. We’re absolutely thrilled with the end result and were very pleased with all of the trades involved – especially carpentry, joinery and brickwork. The property was left clean and organised at the end of each day, and all items we retained were handled and stored with care. We really liked that the trades uploaded photos and logs for us to be able to quickly and easily see what was being completed/progressed on a daily basis. The trade plans and mock-ups meant we could easily visualise what the end product was going to be without any surprises.Our designer Naomi was amazing from start to finish; she understood exactly what we wanted to do with our space and worked closely with us to make selections within our budget. Her customer service was excellent, and is the benchmark of what we’d expect from any designer we use in future for our remaining renovation projects.There’s some room for improvement in relation to project management and administrative matters (e.g. (1) the painting quotes were difficult to understand and lacked the expected detail - such as how costs would vary depending on paint selection, the number of square meters to be painted and distinguishing between items such as doors, walls, skirting and architraves (2) the building contract wasn’t finalised until after works had already commenced, and (3) significant changes to scheduling weren’t communicated in an appropriate manner).All in all though, a very positive experience. 4/5!

We used MJ Harris to paint the exterior of our Federation home as well as repair wood rot in windows and balustrading. They were very easy to deal with, meticulous on quality and very accommodating and responsive to our needs. They arranged a colour consultant, scaffolding, sourcing of materials including some custom made balustrading. They were a pleasure to have around for nearly three months, which was slightly longer than expected but demonstrated their commitment to doing a quality job and finishing every detail. Rod, Peta and their team both in painting and carpentry were a pleasure to have around and we're sort of sad to see them go. They cleaned up every day, took initiative to repair and repaint things that we hadn't asked them to do because they take pride in their work. Project management from Mario and Amanda in invoicing were all professional. Happy to recommend them and will use them again.

MJ Harris undertook restoration and painting on the exterior of our period weatherboard home, and we cannot speak highly enough of our experience working with them.Mario was a fantastic Project Manager, super efficient, completely unflappable, and from the outset he made us feel like we were in great hands. An absolute professional who just made all problems disappear and kept everything running smoothly.Lee and his carpentry team did a thorough appraisal of the condition of weatherboards and verandah decking and completed expert restorations and replacements.Glen, Anun and Charlie were our exceptional painting team. The care and attention to detail that they put into the preparation stage was incredible, and many friends and neighbours commented on it. There were many examples of them going above and beyond in their work, doing many little DIY extras along the way as they encountered them. They were always very considerate in being as unobtrusive as possible, and did a great clean up job at the end of every day. They were all so genuinely lovely, polite and friendly, and treated our home with great respect.Our overall impression is that everyone at MJ Harris takes great pride in what they do. And that they employ quality people, providing quality outcomes. We have no hesitation in highly recommending them, and will certainly use them again.

We were so pleased with our experience with MJ Harris. Steve and Jeyda were a pleasure to work with - they were responsive, professional and accommodating. Jeyda was fantastic in helping us design our space, and Steve was wonderful - detail focused and precise, and always kept us informed. The app they use to track the project was really helpful for us to understand what was going on. Would recommend to those looking for quality, precision and style, and wouldn't hesitate to use them again for further remodelling.

The team at MJ Harris did an outstanding job revitalising our weatherboard and brick home.Steve, who manages the carpentry/rendering side of the business, was accessible and make sure that all our needs were met. Michelle, from the office, spoke with us often and made sure we were across our project's timelines, including when the different trades would be at working at our place.Ben and his apprentice did an excellent job of replacing the weatherboards and architraves. They were reliable, clean, prompt, friendly and tidy. A really nice bunch of guys who were very trustworthy and professional and the end product was faultless.The quality of the painting was outstanding. Stephan, who has great attention to detail, went above and beyond in ensuring we were happy with the result. With the help of his apprentice Chan they did an extremely thorough job, didn’t cut any corners, only used high quality products and were always friendly, reliable, professional and respectful.The photos speak for themselves and the house now looks like a new build. We get so many compliments and I'm sure the team will get further work as a result of people seeing the fantastic job they did at our place.We’d like to wish the team all the best with their future projects and thank them for helping us achieve our vision.

We engaged MJ Harris for external carpentry & painting work on our weatherboard house - the team were very professional and organized throughout all our dealings, the quality of workmanship was so good even our neighbours commented on the time and care the team put in, the team always left the site clean and tidy (which was important to us with young kids around) and to top it off everyone who was onsite (for a little or a long time) were very lovely and genuine people. We would highly recommend dealing with MJ Harris, and should we need more work done - they’ll be the first people we call.
