Loot Smithfield is definitely not like your typical Loot store...It’s ‘ON TREND’ and caters for all styles. I have been a loyal customer of Carla’s for 12 years, her decor just gets better and better. It’s inexpensive yet great quality...I LOVE THIS STORE ❤️

BUYER BEWARE!!!Trend Indoor was a delightful instore shopping experience. I purchased a lounge & delivery at a very reasonable price. The lounge delivered & assembled the following day. However, then it all went terribly wrong. I returned to the store to arrange for the lounge to be collected & a refund. The fault with the lounge i believe, was it had a pest infestation. Sitting on the lounge resulted in bites to my body & the overall experience was very unpleasant. Carla the owner, told me, 'it was my lounge now & therefore my problem.' I disagreed. It was resolved by agreement by both parties that the lounge would be collected by Trend Indoor. I did not believe they had deliberately sold me a bug infested lounge! I bore them no ill will. Trend Indoor then demanded i have a 'pest inspection,' of the lounge before they could accept 'liability.' To my dismay, Trend Indoor then went on to refuse to collect the faulty product they had sold to me days earlier. I was forced to contact Fair Trading, in an attempt to consolidate & gain resolution. Fair Trading clearly stated Trend Indoor, were operating outside the Terms & Conditions of the Sale & that Carla's request for a 'pest inspection' was not required. Carla expressed quite disturbingly by way of txt that, 'we are not worried about Fair Trading, we are simply dissolving your allegations.' Collection was arranged for the following day. Carla informed me after an inspection of the lounge was made by the removalists, a full refund would be provided. I had of course done my own investigation & on inspection found stains & holes to the base of the lounges too. What followed was unbelievable. I was inundated with calls & a message through my private messenger app on my phone from Carla's partner. All of which i ignored. The message has since been removed from my feed. Carla's partner, who i can identify as a short, purile, middle aged, man of slight build, appeared at my door. His first words to me were, 'i just want to tell u.' What followed on his behalf was a barrage of abuse & insult toward me. Carla's partners behaviour was so outrageous it drew the attention of two of my neighbours, who stopped to observe the banchi in action. A man not in control of his temper, is a dangerous man. There was no inspection of the lounge. Rather Carla's partner & his mate, loaded the lounge in the heavy rain. Hence, possible more contamination of the product. Carla had stated, 'she was acting in good will.' The lounge was not removed correctly from my home & resulted in the second removalist damaging my wall with the leg of the lounge. He admitted his error to Carla's partner & suggested it would need sanding back to repair. In response & to my horror, Carla's partner's reaction was to spit on his finger & he then rubbed his dirty finger on my wall! He then told me to clean it. I was in shock & quiet rattled by this stage. I reported the damage to Carla who said she'd investigate. I was later informed by Carla that both men had denied it! In conculsion, the lounge was purchased by Carla & her partner & delivered to their house. No word of any inspection of any kind to date. I've lodged a Complaint with Fair Trading. I've made a Complaint to the Smithfield Police Station, regarding Carla's partner's behaviour & I've been advised by the Police to begin Civil Action in Court. I have since been ignored by Trend Indoors Owners. Carla last txt me, 'we have gone above & beyond.' She had also referred to me as a 'headache.' I am a keen supporter of small business, particularly in these uncertain times. However, the After Care Service provided by Trend Indoor, has made me reassess where i will spend my money next. Trend Indoor, have displayed by their actions a complete disregard for their Customer. I'd suggest to all to avoid Trend Indoor, There are more gracious retailers out there who will happily treat you respectfully & fairly.

I have found Loot Home wares Smithfield to be great value for money, aftre looking around on-line their prices and availability of products has been outstanding.The furniture quality is exceptional and i just love my unique pieces.Thank you to Carla and the team. Shop local! :)

Very friendly and helpful staff. I came here with a client for some new cushions and they were very happy with the range.. The only downside is that they have so many beautiful things that wouldn't fit in my home if I bought everything I liked.

I have been shopping at Trend, formerly known as Loot for 15 years now. All products / furnishings are of high end quality. Shop is Clean and Fresh. Staff are always welcoming, accommodating and friendly. The Owners Carla and Paul are professional and support local community. I highly recommend Trend at Smithfield.

Beautiful shop, owned by true, genuine and lovely Cairns locals. You won’t get better service and their products are even better. This shop is truly special and makes your house a home with style and luxury.

AMAZING. Trend indoor has the kindest staff who help everyone that walks in the door. The prices are great for the amazing value and quality you get for every product. 100% recommend going here when looking to buy furniture, decorations and many more items.

The staff were beyond amazing from start of my experience to delivery! I interacted with 3 staff members and they were all so friendly, genuinely engaging and helpful, and with gorgeous stock it was a joy to shop with Trend.My couch arrived way earlier than expected (approx 4wks compared to estimated of 5-6wks) which was a wonderful surprise.A very enjoyable experience all round.
