Berri Backpackers

For my opinion the best place to calm down, meet friendly people and find work if you like.At this place you find everything, chill out places. You can do sports and a lot of other stuff.When I was in Berri now 12 years ago I had the best 3 month ever. I've met good people and I'm still in touch with a few. We meet once a year.For me it is a good place to go when you are travelling South Australia.

One of my favourite places in Australia. Must see for yourself. If you are packpacking in Australia (South Australia) add this one to your bucket list. It's a great place to do your 88 farm days.

Don't let them sent you to a contractor called Caden or Kim , from south Korea both underpay and put everything in their pocket, they are not in berri but in renmark although they sometimes employ people from this backpacker. This is a warning to all traveling here for work, Caden is bad Kim as well.

One of the best places I’ve stayed. Toilets and bathrooms are always clean and pleasant. The kitchen is big and has everything you need inside. Atmosphere is great and welcoming, both the Manager and owner are very friendly and always smiling!

Great Times, If you are travelling around Australia and looking for hourly paid work I would highly recommend staying here. I wanted to stay for 1 month ended up staying 4. Thanks for all the good times.

This place is the best place I've been in for a long time and I know I'm an Aussie .beats lockston back packers by far,it is worth the extra $30 bucks ,pool gym,suna,better work more work,better workers more friendly cheaper laundry,a gaming room ,cook outs on weekends just a really great family experience all-round .fantastic. Great place. Definitely a hostel to recommmend to anyone looking for a honest working hostel. Nice facilities and staff.

What can I say that hasn't already been mentioned. Hmm, maybe it's not as fancy, modern and flash as other newer hostels as it's probably one of the first working hostel of its kind but in saying that I'm convinced it has more style and character than most other backpacker hostels which really makes this place special and everyone just loves it there.

This place is amazing, it's got a nice relaxed and chilled out air about it, cool area with hammocks, tree houses, pool, volleyball court, tennis court, table tennis, pool table and at the side of that you'll mix in the best people you're ever going to meet! They will also help you out with work while you're staying there since it's a well established working hostel with a huge network of farmers that need workers. Short to say, if you're looking for an awesome place to live while you're doing your farmdays or if you're just looking for a place to retreat and chill for a while this is definetly the place to be!

We stayed in this hostel for 5 months. The location is perfect for going to work (lots of vineyards and farmers) in front of the berri club, 500 m from a petrol station and 2 min by car from a laundry, woolworth, coles, aldi and BWS. You can have a bbq at the river and walk in the bush.The hostel is a bit old but very family friendly, the common areas have to be renovated and we miss washing machines and a dryer (1 machine for 60 people is not enough ...)The only real negative point is the manager and owner of the hostel who lives on the same land, glued to the hostel and who is not very friendly.He doesn't find a job, just advises you to apply online for jobs or waits for randstad to call him. If you need help or something, he'll say it's not my buisness". It is very cold in winter
