Our family has been dealing with Gilflite for over 30 years now, during this time we have purchased 3 new boats, 2 Shortlines, and a Spitfire which have been custom designed to our personal needs and delivered with an immaculate finish. In our opinion, Gilflite design and manufacture some of the best performance boats in this country. As a family of tradesmen we have tried various vehicles including vans and trailers. When Gilflite released the Toolsafe unit we felt confident that the company would deliver a well designed and quality built product to suit our purpose. Once again, we were impressed by the product, the personal service and durability of the Toolsafe body. We have since included several more Toolsafe units to our fleet and trust that Gilflite will continue to support our business with reliable service and quality products including accident repairs as our business grows. There are two main reasons GILFLITE have been in the business for so long. They know their industry back-to-front, and they are dedicated to their products and their customers. I'd have no hesitation recommending them for work of high quality and great value.

Avoid at all costsQuoted $2850 to swap my toolsafe box from 1 car to another, this was already overpriced on other companies but as Gilflite designed it and produced it I thought there would bet no unforeseen costs. I was asked to call back the following Monday to arrange a start date, when I called back I was told bring the car in this afternoon or they wouldn’t get it in for some time and they need a new tray to fit back on the car. I rearranged customers purchased a tray and got the car to them the next morning and was promised it would be completed by Friday. They finished it on the following Tuesday with an invoice for $4334. There was a forklift blocking the new car in and if I didn’t pay the full amount right now they would remove the tool box from my car holding me to ransom. The final invoice was because the quote didn’t allow for refitting a tray to the old car, which was drilling 8 holes in aluminium, at $1000! they didn’t fit the mud guards or number plate light both of which makes the car illegal on the road. Any cables in there way were cut including the break controller. The cables for the central locking were left in the old car and so needing a new wiring loom $90! And then GST was on top of all costs. As a contractor you cant quote a price, mention nothing about GST and then charge it on top. For $4334 I could have had another tool box made and installed.Also every interaction with David Gill is a 2 hour venture as he talks about everything under the sun apart from the job in hand and Paula the receptionist and author of the previous review is the rudest person you will ever talk to.NOT HAPPY AT ALL

Highly recommend, excellent customer service, went out of their way to have our product ready before Christmas at short notice. Excellent communication and personal attention to our requirements. The price was right, and knowledge of product outstanding. We have thoroughly enjoyed our experience in dealing with this knowledgeable team of people. Will definitely be a repeat customer if we need another similar product.

A big shout out to Dave Gill from Gillfight boats. I have recently purchased a 1977 Spitfire MK1 ski boat that required some TLC in the off season to bring it back to its former glory. I have spoken to Dave on a number of occasions seeking advice on upgrades and modifications that can be undertaken during the off season while the boat is in bits. I have been overwhelmed by Dave's knowledge, technical advice and pure common sense when it comes to setting up and restoring old boats. I have no hesitation in recommending Dave to anyone that is undertaking repairs and restoration to any boat.
