Back Creek Falls

Back creek falls! Easy walk down a bit harder back as it was up most of the way. 3/10 toughness. Water flowing as of today.Beautiful location, 1500m walk then a bit of a goat track to the bottom of the falls but only for 20-40m down the side of the falls.Very clear water at the pools at the bottom with lovely stone, green water plantsand very little silt, would be great to sit in on a hot day. Drive in and out hard enough on a small car 30 min at least and we took 2 directions, better on a higher wheel base car as I wouldn’t want to do it after drenching rain as the gravel will bottom the car out.Small car park, quiet early 11am and started to get a few other hikers on our way out. Not much space when we left to park.Took a quick and chilly dip and sat a while.70year old fit mother managed to the top of the falls without hassle, but didn’t attempt the goat track to the bottom. Not ideal for small children as access to actual pools is probably a 10-fit 60 year old task and the top is pretty unremarkable.Would have loved to wander the other tracks but didn’t have time. Looks like there may be some nice walks and waterfalls in this area.

Impressive waterfall. No other tourists. But track was covered with lots of fallen trees to climb over.

Beautiful Falls, DWELP need to maintain the track as many trees down on the track atm.
