Australia Post - Bentleigh East Post Shop

Strangely, there are no mail boxes outside this post office. When I walked in to ask them about where the closest mail box is, they just said “give em here, we’ll post them for you” which is supposedly nice, right? However, when they took my packages into their hands, they straight away started trying to get me to buy extra stamps to put on them as they were “borderline thickness” (but completely soft and compressible), or to repackage them altogether using their packaging. I’m an online seller and have posted hundreds of like packages without a problem. I just said thanks for the advice, took them back and posted in another mail box that I found myself later that day. I believe my packages did adhere to the guidelines but they were just trying to make a buck. Not cool!

I am sorry I said something bad. But your service is terrible.my daughter`s photo is 40mm by 50mm, the lady said it too big, should be 35 45, the rule is right next to her said 45 to 50 high and 35 to 40 wide . Then she complain the face is too big, the face of sample photo is even bigger , and their sample photo of a baby is way lot worse than mine, see the attachment. Then she called someone , the lady knows my photo is too big through the phone, and very very rude, how amazing, she must has some super power to see my photo by phone. I drive to three different post offices, they all said don't see any problem with my photo. I heard lots of people complain this office has extremely strict even made up rules to stop you, even you take from professional photo studio, still can not pass in this office, now I know myself, she just try to give you trouble. I feel sorry that I said something rude, but I also feel sorry that you don't do your job right. Maybe you just try to let people take photo in your shop to make profit. Save you time go some where else to apply passport.

The Worth Service EVER!!!! This Post Office is very unprofesstional, They only happy If you want post something with parcel, because they can get commission from it， but they will let you take letter back, I post the same letter over 200 times in 5 different Post Office, They all said its 100% ok to send, because it's not over than 2cm thick, but only this store, they will take the parcel and give the letter back to you, waste my time! Won't got there again!

Omg now I understand why this place has such low reviews. The blonde woman was so so unwelcoming. Kept giving me and my child dirty looks, wanted to throw us out of the shop even though the place was still open, Dan was helpful but the it was so uncomfortable with her constantly asking him to make us go ! If you want to finish at 4:40 sign out. Don’t charge the business and throw the customers out

Terrible service. Refused to take passport photo of my 1 year old claiming they only do photos for kids aged 3+. It was obvious they just couldn’t be bothered trying and just send customers to other post offices when the task is inconvenient for them.Don’t waste your time and go somewhere else.

The manager here is irresponsible, unkind, and no empathy at all. We had a parcel which is around 19kg, and its traffic peak time, so we couldn’t find a street parking. We wonder if we could just borrow the trolley to take the parcel to the corner of the street. They refused!! That don’t have any empathy at all! This is y this place has so many negative feedback!

Worst post office I've ever been to. The lady who served me was short tempered, snappy and wouldn't even let me finish talking. Interrogated me with what's in my parcel I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to especially that I signed my declaration and it's private. Absolutely wouldn't return or recommend to anyone. It needs to be closed down.

Visited the post office in Bentleigh East last week, have been assisted by a lady who was kind and patient with information about options of overseas posts.

I really did feel bad and unhappy because terrible service the officer didn't want to work even it borderd them kind of apply passport work. I did rejected there to applying passport but I went another post office, and they definitely serviced for us..They focused only selling products is not shopping area it is publicity service area.They need to educated again..
