Pretty good fish and chips. Would recommend the seafood basket for 2. Very busy on the night we went. Good pickup system they have in place.

1 star for the potato scallop as that was the only good thing about the hot food here. Waited an hour after being told 30 minutes wait. Went back after 45 and was told 2 more minutes, 15 minutes later my buzzer finally rang. There were quite a few people who had also waited an hour after being told 30 minutes. The calimari was cold and chewy, the grilled barramundi (and chips) was tiny, dry and tasteless. And came without the chips. After walking back to the shop they looked at my docke like somehow I was the one who made the mistake. The chips were edible but average. You're a fresh fish shop, learn how to cook fish, don't lie to customers about wait times and get the orders right. Attached a pic of the $16 grilled barramundi and (no) chips.

You would think being so big, advertising so much and your location you would pride yourself on customer service - not at all as we asked your staff (there were 6 I could count) to clean some big King prawns and they refused. Why is it a problem at the bigger fisheries but the smaller ones have no problem giving you this service at a minimal price? Weird how staff would rather stand around than helping customers and ensuring them coming back

Chips and calamari were good, fish was a bit disappointing as were the prawns. Also pretty slow. I will give them another chance when I go back to the Sunshine Coast.

We ordered grilled snapper and chips. Verdict the fish seemed dry and chewy. Very underwhelming fish and chip experience. The highlight were the local ocean king prawns which were juicy and full of flavour.

Average as best. Got the $38 seafood basket to share, would've probably had $30+ in business profit on that. 2 small overcooked pieces of fish about the same size as the sea scallops. Calamari was the only highlight but one piece seemed cooked enough to have been intended for 2 orders prior. The fresh seafood looked delicious but the cooked takeaway was a real letdown, both in options, price and value.

Has the vibe of fish markets, is always busy. Meals ok but have had better. Chips a bit blah, fish nice but small and not cheap. Burgers ok.

Have been going to this establishment for about 20 years. The food was always excellent, the last 4 times that I have been there, the food was dreadful. Our last visit was 23rd.March, we ordered around $130 worth of food and the only thing we could eat was the prawns. The schnapper, the Hoki and the Baramundi were all cooked in batter, the fish pieces were all thin and the batter was thick and very dark (possibly cooked in OLD oil), we took the batter off the fish and there was oil everywhere, we threw it all in the bin and won't be going back there. How could the quality go from so good to so bad? Today 25th March we went back to the old original Fisheries on The Spit and the quality was much better.

I have been buying from this fish market with Mum and Dad for over 4 years. Today I was gravely disappointed. Mum brought 3 pieces of beautiful snapper to find it is full of bones. You need to up your game. If a customer asks for fish to be cut it should not contain bones.

Had the fish and chips pack with battered barra ($16.50) and another piece of crumbed hoki cod ($9.90). Surprisingly (compared to other fish and chips shops I've been to) there wasn't much in the way of family type packs/meal deals featuring fish. There was a decent wait at 2pm on a Sunday. Average serving size/value. Thought about adding a salad but they looked pretty small for the price so skipped it. Food we did get was ok - nice crunch on the batter, but overall nothing so compelling I'd go out of my way to visit again.
