Wilson Island

Best most relaxing few days I can remember. The best way to recharge your batteries. 6 star service. Nothing was too much trouble. We were spoiled rotten! Great food cooked by a chef. Mingle at meal times with the other guests. I am definitely going back.

The most amazing place to unwind and relax. I will definitely go back, our hosts were amazing - they looked after us really well, the meals were delicious. There were only a maximum of 12 guests, most nights there were less due to Covid. We were very spoiled and looked after very well. You do have to share facilities as there are no bathrooms in our glamping tents but the amenities were always very clean. The resort has an open bar, you can take a picnic lunch to beach or mingle with the other guests. It was so great to have no WIFI or Telephone and just switch off from the rest of the world. Highly recommended

Words cannot describe the unspoilt beauty of this island. To watch turtles nesting only metres from your tent and to swim with them was incredible. Snorkelling in the crystal clear waters metres from the tents was also a highlight. Healthy coral, abundant fish and the odd reef shark. Sleeping with a cacophony of calls from mournful shearwaters and also the noddies and terns took one night to get used to but was one of the memorable aspects of the trip. It now seems so quiet at night at home! Our hosts were amazing, Nina and Ricky and also Sam and Harry and the food was well above 5 star. This is the most idyllic relaxing unique holiday I have ever had. We met some wonderful people and had a lot of laughs. We were so lucky to get there from South Australia and we can't wait to go back. One of the best holidays I have ever had.

Just spent the most spectacular and decadent 4 days on this remote treasure. Staff, chef and accommodation faultless. Natural beauty breathtaking. Turtles and Clown fish, amongst a host of marine life on your doorstep. Getting there could not have been easier.

Wilson Island is an amazing place to be. Words cannot describe how awesome this place is. Nina, Alex and Ricky are the greatest hosts of them all. Nina is particularly sweet and very humble. We got that in common. Ricky is a great chef and all he cooks is five stars quality. The tents are super comfy and the bed is very nice. The sea is basically 20 steps away from the tent and the marine life is fantastic. I got to see heaps of turtles and colorful fish. The amenities are beautiful and clean. This is the most unique yet relaxing experience ever. Thank you to all the team at Wilson Island. You guys rock!!!!Besos,Javier

Truly amazing experience - a real eco island where they tread lightly on the earth! Pristine yet wild... nature at its best! We arrived for 3 nights and were lucky to be able to stay for 5 - we did not want to go home. Andreas and Amanda are probably the best hosting couple I have ever had the joy of meeting - Andreas' skill in the kitchen was phenomenal and we drooled over every meal... Amanda and with the help of Les ensure that everything runs so beautifully - you feel as though you are visiting your best friends' island!! We will definitely be back!

I just wanted to say how amazing you guys were. We stayed here for 5 nights for our babymoon in May 21 and didn't want to leave. The food was exceptional, the staff and service was 10/10. Fine dining in the middle of the GBR, unlimited beer, wine, spirits, cocktails, mocktails for me, snacks. Cheese boards in the afternoon. You snorkel one fin kick off the beach and you are surrounded by the most beautiful reef, turtles and marine life galore.After an awful experience staying on a luxury" resort in Sydney for our wedding anniversary

We spent two nights on this Island and wished it were longer. Bird and marine life were spectacular. Such a nature experience. Being able to walk along the beach and watch those beautiful turtles laying eggs, making their way to and from the ocean or to experience an eruption of baby turtles and then seeing them try to make their way to the water was truly a highlight. Loved the mutton birds and their clumsy but loveable personalities, wandering close by or around under your feet unafraid while you have dinner - just amazing !. What topped the whole experience off was the exceptional staff, Les, Hazel and Enrique. Their excitement and enjoyment of the island shone through as they shared knowledge of the marine and bird life. The food was exceptional, the accommodation very comfortable and the staff couldn't do enough for us. Always obliging. We stayed for 4 nights on Wilson Island and had an amazing experience.The hosts (Bec & Andrew) were fantastic. The beach and amazing views are a given on an island like this - the people who look after you while you are there, are not. Bec & Andrew could not have been more friendly or accommodating of us while we were there.The food was fresh and incredible. We had such a brilliant time.If you do get the opportunity to visit, you should, you will not regret it.

Rustic, un-spoiled & secluded. Our stay on this tiny slice of paradise at the Southern end of the Great Barrier Reef was a very special experience made even more memorable by it's beautiful hosts Bec, Andrew & Les.
