‘Tara-Lee’

We have stayed at Tara-Lee 3 times now and thoroughly enjoyed each visit. Very clean, very classy, very comfortable. The pool was so refreshing on this last visit and the outdoor dining area very hard to leave. Rooms are beautifully presented and beds so comfortable. A perfect place for weekend catchups and quality time with friends and family. So close to the many fabulous attractions of the Hunter Valley.

This is the second time staying at the Tara Lee only 5 years apart.If you are looking for an allrounder home to cater space for friends and family, this is the right place!Only 15min drive away from the glorious wine country.Our stay was for the night before my wedding.. there was myself, my bridesmaids and mother of the Groom.We had a relaxing time eating our dinner on the back deck.everyone had ample space for sleeping and the house stayed relatively cool on a humid day/night.I hope to be back again at the Tara-Lee soon.Thank you Karen and John this place is Spectacular!

The house itself is fabulous. Spacious and a lovely deck, pool and old sitting room. 5 stars for that . Unfortunately the landlord forgot we were coming so we arrived to the poor cleaner rushing around (she was lovely) . Also there is no wifi - strange for this day and age..nice stay.

Had a fabulous weekend away, the house is historic with new additions in the right places, hello kitchen and pool! We took our dog, and it felt very welcoming, with a bottle of wine and chocolate in the fridge which was a nice touch.

OMG. Second time ive stayed 5 years apart. Absolutely divine. Beautiful ole world. Beautiful beds and has everything. I mean everything you need. I will be back.

I booked this property through stayz for myself and extended family to attend a wedding. The booking was confirmed and a deposit payed. 3 weeks later without any consultation our booking was cancelled by the owner. Apparently they had made a double booking. However given the time delay of 3 weeks it is my belief our booking was cancelled so as to accommodate a longer booking. The owner was given the opportunity to provide evidence of the double booking (with identifying information excluded). Not surprisingly they chose not to send. Apparently because my booking is 4 months away and I will get my money back in 7 days, the owners behaviour is justifiable and I shouldn't write a bad review. So don't book this property unless you are happy to be cancelled.

Stunning pet-friendly accomodation in beautiful country; dinner in the dining room - superb; local wines fantastic.

I have stayed in many places but ‘Tara Lee’ is not one I will easily forget. Everything was just perfect. The owners and housekeeper went far beyond the normal. I highly recommend Tara Lee making Hunters Valley a perfect experience and stay.Jacqui HodgkinsonCape Town. SA

10/10 would stay at again!! We didn’t end up bringing the pups though after seeing the full colour one fencing and outdoor spaces, definitely would next time. The layout of the home lends itself to a decent sized group, without feeling crowded. The bedrooms are a good size and the pool area the perfect place to laze around after a wine tour. Thankyou for allowing us the use of the garage and for ensuring a clean property upon arrival with everything we could need.
