Malabar Medical Centre

Should be called Lazy Liars Medical Centre. Even though the place was empty and the Dr's were busy milling around handing out alcohol to the receptionists, they told me that they were far too busy to take new patients or fit anyone else. The receptionist told me even though there was no one waiting she assured me that it was impossible for any Dr to see me as they were actually booked full and couldn't possibly fit me in. Looks like it's the sort of place where getting drunk with the staff trumps medical care. If you value your health don't come to this lazy liars (soon to be drunk most probably) medical centre. At least try to tell a lie that wouldn't insult a normal persons intelligence!

Dr Jo is the most caring and devoted Dr in fact all the Drs at Malabar Medical Center are caring about their patients. You will not find a better, or caring group of Drs anywhere.

Got my 2nd Covid vaccine shot there this week on Dr Joe's recommendation. As is usual for the Medical Centre, staff were friendly, efficient and knowledgeable...and we got to sit in the beautiful, winter sun for our 15min observation time!

Never thought I would have to write a bad review for this place, been going here all my life. Daniel Tran (refuse to call u a doctor). From the get go he was rushing everything and even contradicted himself.Will never see him again.

Generally good. One doctor though sent me back out of the session to change my babies nappy, despite my explaining that it had just been changed moments earlier, this doctor has only ever seen disposable nappies before, so my reusable one he insisted was “that’s a full nappy.’’ Sent me out and insisted I come back with a disposable nappy. Later passively aggressively referenced DOCS several times. The one and only time I have been discriminated against at that surgery with the doctor knowing my medical history, which is a good run for most medical centres weighing the ratios.

I’ve been taking myself and my kids to this practice for over 10years. The staff are fantastic. Dr Jo Tomas and Dr Daniel Tran are incredibly smart and compassionate.

Friendly staff and excellent doctors. I got caught in a pickle when I forgot to take my referral to the radiologist. When I called Malabar Medical Centre, they worked with my doctor to fax a copy directly to the imaging clinic within 15mins - with their quick help I didn't miss my appointment. An example of a team that goes above and beyond to help their patients.

We were visiting the area living 6 hours away from Sydney and my husband fell ill. The woman at Reception offered no empathy towards our situation saying they are 'appointment only' and 'the doctors wouldn't like it'. Awful experience, no compassion or extenuating circumstances, just no we are not helping you and we don't care attitude. Luckily we went to Prince Of Wales Hospital and he was admitted immediately. Opens up the doors to all the what ifs. Moral to the story book a week in advance just in case you get sick heaven forbid you fall sick on the day and want to seek medical treatment.

Never have I ever been so disappointed to the point where I felt the need to leave a bad review for a medical centre. I will never visit this place again. The young male Asian doctor has no empathy and is the worst doctor I’ve ever encountered. I walked out crying. Wouldn’t go to him even if my life depended on it.0 stars.

I am impressed with the professionalism of Dr Daniel Tran --- I went there for a medical transcript, and he took my blood pressure, which was high. He then followed up on the issue not once but twice, and I appreciate his thorough approach to his work. Thank you.
