Just finished up a weeks stay at Avalon Blue. Mitchell and Michelle really have thought everything to make for a very comfortable stay. We really appreciated the bike workshop and washing station outside. Along with a central location, 2 min walk to the Dorset hotel, 5min ride to the trail head, we would highly recommended

A great cottage with all the facilities you need and a few you could make do without too. Wifi, comfy beds, Netflix, BBQ, huge bike storage shed with tools, bike wash (hose), wood burner, reverse-cycle aircon/heat pump, deck with views to the trails, a one-minute walk to the pub, the rest of the town just a few minutes walk further, the trailhead about 3 minutes' ride. Everything you need for a trip to Derby.

Avalon was perfect for what we needed - perfectly comfortable, two mins walk to the pub and ten to Vertigo. Three mins ride to the trails. Somewhere to lock up the bikes and plenty of bike tools, including a work stand. Owner was extremely helpful. Will stay there next time.

Best accommodation in Derby.Located in the heart of Derby, walking distance to the Main Street, coffee shops and the derby MTB tracks. Very clean and tidy and beds that were so comfy that I didn’t want to get out.The owner even dropped us off at the top of the MTB trail runs.Highly recommended, will be back!!

WOW what a great place to stay!!! The Mitchell was extremally helpful from my initial phone call happy to help me out of what could do in and around derby. The house itself was immaculate! Will be back next year
