Puma Camooweal Roadhouse

Drove 6 hours to Queensland and popped into this place for a quick feed. We weren’t going to get much except for 2 meat pies and sausage rolls and the fat Indian man tried to scam us by adding an extra 20$ onto our order. After we pointed it out he stood there silently and slowly took off the 20$. They took advantage of the fact that they were the only food place in a 200km radius and charged us 40$ in total for only 2 meat pies and sausage rolls. If you ever come to this place, make sure to keep an eye on the price on the screen and make sure they’re not trying to scam you like they tried to do to us. I’m never coming back here again.

A terrific roadhouse, best hamburgers ever. Also the cheapest fuel around. The caravan park is small, sites a bit dusty but a nice grassed area adjacent to the sites for the kids to play on. Amenities old.

What an unexpected delight this place is. Rooms are old but they are clean and have everything you need. We had the best nights sleep here, it was so quiet. The roast beef dinner absolutely melted in your mouth. The staff were an asset to the business, very pleasant. Watching the sun go down over the vast landscape, spectacular. We would definately go back.

You don't have to reserve. We just walked in and paid 15$ per person. Guy friendly at the bar. Only 1 of the 3 toilets work. We were only 2 sites 2 nights ago, so no noise and a lot of choice. Close to the main road so you hear the trucks at night.

Petrol station with some hot food and cold drinks, also has accommodation too I believe, although we didn't stay here.

Great roadhouse. They serve beer, some mixed drinks and have a great kitchen. My partner got their hamburger and I got their corned beef sandwich. Fuel is cheapest around. Staff are friendly and there is an area to dine in and watch the news. Place is exceptionally clean and have toilets on site. Good internet reception. Decent squeegees too.

Most fuels available, no 98 or LPG. Plenty of off street parking, enough for a few trucks as well as cars and caravans. Outdoor eating in a shady area, as well as indoor dining. Freshly cooked food available, as well as drinks and snacks. Indoor toilets. Highly recommend the egg and bacon toasted sandwich.
