very nice place on the river, in theory anyway. there is a large sand bar which goes half way out into the river so its very safe to wade out and go for a paddle. the camp ground allows you to literally camp on the immediate rivers edge. down side is everyone else knows about this spot, everytime iv been there its packed with about 50 or so vehicles, the serenity is destroyed by the sound of jet boats, jetskis and dirt bikes and loud music. people let their dogs wander into your campsite with no regard. unfortunately due to all this, this is not an enjoyable place to visit

Great spot by the river,plenty of level sites,popular for campers and boats,nice sandy beach area.From the banks carp are the most common, although perch and red fin are about but seldom caught.

No amenities. Hit and miss on relaxing times. Brilliant when it's quiet, but more and more bogans playing music and revving motocross bikes at 2am spoiling it for everyone else.

Had just one night at Hogwash Bend but a great free camping spot it is. Lots of walking trails, beautiful enormous river gums and plenty of wild life. If you can go unpowered for a couple of days I highly recommend this site. Only a couple of k's down a good gravel road.

Such a great spot but such a shame there are no toilets. As soon as you venture 50m away from the main camp area you start finding evidence" of the need for toilets. I and many others would happily pay $10.00/ night to camp here which could help fund toilets and that way the site wouldn't have so much "evidence" scattered around the place"

Perfect location, close to the water, clean, quiet and the water looked like ice this morning with fog rolling across. Brings back memories of childhood.

Beautiful little spot on the River Murray, very tranquil and serene. Only for self sufficient campers, no amenities provided. If camping, be prepared for what the Australian bush and Riverlands entail, such as all the beautiful creatures from koalas, Possums, kookaburras, lizards, spiders, snakes and ants etc etc.

This place is ever changing. At present the river is up, concealing the large sand bar. Still magnificent camp sites. Sounds of Kookaburras morning and night. Well worth the effort to come here. June 2022. A1. May 2023 magnificent.
