Over priced, staff give conflicting information and don’t seem very knowledgeable. City Barn across the road are miles in front! I recommend shopping at City Barn, far better prices, staff are friendly and knowledgeable and HUGE range!!!

What to say about a store which provides Courtesies and preferencial treatment to staff but changes the rules for Customers when it comes to Cats seeking adoption from Cat Haven.Very Very poor way of dealing with what for most people is an emotional decision to Adopt a Pet.We came into the store sunday 9th april with no intention of Adopting a Cat, however after My family saw an Adult Cat Named Jaffa, who was abandond by owners there, we as a family decided to Ask if we could Adopt her.Initially we were straight away told that sorry a girl who works there has stated she wants her but has to discuss it with her partner... ok so we left our name and number, the next day we were called to say the cat still needs a home and we confirmed our intention to adopt her.My partner then was called in to work but we called Petbarn to notify and reconfirm our intention to pick her up before 4 straight after my partners work.Whilst my partner was at work someone else enquired about Jaffa (2PM) and the store attempted to contact my partner (who was unable to take the call due to work) to enquire about our intention to pick up jaffa apparently even thou at this point we had made two verbal confirmations to staff including the person in charge that day that we were going to be there prior 4pm.Myself, my partner and my step daughter then arrived straight from my partners work excited to pick up our new family member whom i had been making preperations for during the day getting bedding bowls toys etc whilst my partner worked, only to be told sorry she was adopted by someone else, we tried to call you but you didnt answer the phone so we allowed the other person to adopt her......nowif this is the normal process i agree and a cat shouldnt be kept in those little homes and rehomed as soon as possible, however how was it acceptable that a staff member had effectively 24hrs to return with an answer and the best option for us was to await on a decision (not phone the staff member to have an update on there intention) and we did not have that assurance whilst we made preperations to home the adorable cat and took appropriate steps to do so only to have didnt answer your phone sorry as the excuse"That and you didnt leave your name and ID on a sheet (errr they called us so they had our name and number)and you didnt pay a deposit (werent told we had to in order to secure a spot in the que otherwise would have done so willingly)Oh and personal favourite excuses was must have been a misscommunication ...."yes we would be delighted to adopt Jaffa..." yeap seems pretty grey to meor Our staff is allowed to answer their personal mobile phones whilst at work and most of our staff have there phones on them at all times....So i apologise for the vent but to the customers considering this place be wary of whom your dealing

Partner bought a sale item at full price as he didn't realise its a member only sale price. Nor did the girl even mention anything when he paid.Called and they told me I can just go back to the store and they are happy to refund the amount and count the sale price.After work I took the time to actually go to the store for the girl to tell me hey registers are down so can't do it. Understandable and so I politely asked can I come another day then?She proceeds to tell me I'm afraid u have to cut ur losses with this one". Sorry to say this is one of the worst responses you could ever say to someone. Value of money+Reality check."

Misleading ticket prices, consistent errors in discounts being applied, and terrible customer service from the store manager who is abrasive and rude. Will no longer choose Pet Barn and will only shop at the local City Barn on other side of same the road. Whilst slightly more expensive on some items, it is much better customer service, supports local, and has comprehensive animal knowledge!

I attended the Malaga store this Saturday afternoon. Granted it was 5 min to closing, but the store was still open. I was looking to buy about $200 of tropical fish. The sales person told me “sorry I can’t help you as we are closing in 5min”. DISGUSTING SERVICE!!!
