Highbury Aqueduct Reserve
Talking about an aqueduct brings up images of bridges with arched stone pillars and tunnels. I was expecting and looking for something like that just on a smaller scale, maybe a steel and concrete structure.The aqueduct is there. It is a 4 m wide channel follwing the contour of the landscape.The path is along tall trees and shrubs, wide and well maintained. There are nice views along the way.It is a bit steep at places, otherwise an easy walk.

Well maintained blue metal graded track.Takes about,90 minutes to complete in total from one end and return.Fantastic views of hills, CBD & private solar systems plus magnificent pines, allocasuarinas, eucalyptus', melaleucas, and native paper daisies. Blue tongues, blue wrens, magpies, a koala seen along the track and a bush bashing wallaby heard and glimpsed at the Eastern end of the track. Not bad on a lovely 32°C day.Take food, water and an empty bladder with you. The latter not necessary for blokes!

I go on runs and ride my bike.SA water dont like it when you build bike jumps but I do anyway.Great to speed down the trails ans whip around corners.The view of linear park is great.
