The owner miscommunicated the price (both my friend and I understood it the same way) then when it came time to pay and we were shocked that it was 50% more expensive than agreed, he became very rude and hostile.

Very professional tattoo studio. Andrea has done a great job. I'm very satisfied and happy with his work. Highly recommended.

Came here on a bit of whim to get my first tattoo. Was understandably nervous but Mikey made me feel incredibly comfortable and was very helpful when discussing the placement and aftercare of getting a tattoo. The whole process was quick and easy and I can’t wait to get another tattoo. Would highly recommend to anyone for a positive and seamless experience.

I am giving one star not for the quality of the work itself (since I only got a simple 2x2 cm line tattoo), but rather for the way customers are treated. I visited this tattoo shop with a friend and we were initially offered a price of 100 AUD each, which was the official price listed on the door. However, we ended up being charged 144 AUD each without any valid explanation and with increasing rudeness from the Italian store manager. Even though I suggested a compromise price, the manager refused and said, 'This is Byron Bay, you pay my price!'. Worst experience I’ve ever had in a tattoo studio.

We had such a great experience with Shred Culture Tattoo Co.We contacted them about trying to get an appointment on the Saturday and on Sunday they got back to us after the owner said he could take us on in the evening as we were from out of town.Mikey was absolutely magnificent, he was respectful, professional and just an all round lovely person to deal with and he captured exactly what I wanted with my tattoo and the colours in the flowers just make it.The tattoo parlour itself was very clean and sterile, and minimalist which was a nice change from what I had seen of other places.Thank you so much for getting us in guys and good luck with your endeavours Mikey! We will be keeping an eye on your insta so you can tattoo us again!

I found Shred Culture on Instagram and was blown away with how friendly, approachable and helpful they were. Everyone was very friendly and professional from when I initially contacted them to make an appointment to when I went in to get my tattoo done. Mikey did my tattoo and it’s great. Highly recommend these guys if you’re looking to get a tattoo done in Byron! Thanks guys!

I came to Byron on a holiday and wanted a tattoo, went to see mikey at his business and can say they are super welcoming, super friendly, everything is clean and sterile and left with an amazing tattoo and had many compliments! Will 100% be coming back when I travel up this way again! Thank you to the amazing team here!

Myself and my friend came in for a walk in appt and they fit us in with an hour and a half wait which is fantastic since Byron Bay tat shops are always chocka-block booked out. They were perfectly professional but also laid back and very welcoming. Both my friend and I were a little picky about our tattoos but they were super accomodating and patient. It felt like you were hanging out with friends. Our tattoo artist was Emma and she was still classed as an apprentice but did a fantastic job with both mine and my friends tats. We both wanted fine line little artworks on our wrists and I know I’m biased but they are adorable and exactly what we asked for. I’d also like to mention that even though they were laid back, that doesn’t mean they were uncleanly or sloppy with their routine. She was very thorough doing the sterilisation between our sessions and didn’t miss a beat. I couldn’t recommended this place more, if I was a local , I’d come back for the rest of my work :)
