I attended for composite repairs, after a family recommendation. Family will not be attending going forward.I experienced a less than perfect job, and got accused of being a lyer. The dentist couldn’t fathom the poor job. I explained that I would never expect a fix if I had done it. I went from island dental to West Lakes, and the inferior work was evident. I called a few days later, contemplating if I’m being too picky. But $500 for half an hour, I should feel 100% happy. Getting it fixed, the dentist went round and round stating that he wouldn’t have done this. He did. He’s obnoxious and charges through the roof.I recommend getting a quote prior to attending any appointments at this dental clinic.

Stay away. I'm not sure when, but BUPA have taken over the surgery and unfortunately the existing staff left and the new staff are not as good. During cleaning, my gums got cut up. This may have something to do with considerably shorter appointment times meaning the hygienist was rushed. But what do you expect from a profit making corporation? ignore older reviews they no longer Appy to BUPA ownership. Go elsewhere!

Dedicated professional staff from front of house to in chair people who make the journey of dentistry less daunting.I have had some very complex and delicate restorative work performed by Dr Hobby and team and the results are fabulous. We now live across the other side of the city but my family and I still travel out to West Lakes for the friendly quality care and outstanding results.Thank you to all of the team.Best RegardsSoester Family

From my initial phone call with Receptionist Sarah who was so kind & caring, then going to my first appointment, I was so impressed with how friendly the staff were & how modern the facilities are in such peaceful surroundings. I then met Dr. Vadi Vojdani who was absolutely lovely, listened to me with such empathy and very understanding of my TMJ issue and she took the time necessary to work through a solution.I highly recommend Island Dental, West Lakes.

I agree with recent reviewers; this place was great and Tony Hobby was wonderful, but it’s gone downhill fast since he left. I had to have a porcelain filling here and they couldn’t get the machine to work, so I had to come back for 3 separate visits in one day. Very painful, in addition to being very inconvenient. The dentist did such a poor job that food gets stuck in this tooth every time I eat. When I asked her to fix it, she said it was happening because of the shape of my tooth and said I should either floss more or pay her to replace the filling. I drove home and called another dentist.

My regular dentist told me over the phone that I wasn’t deemed as urgent (front crown dislodged/came out), bad move !! I have nothing but praise for Dr Wright who saw me within the hr of calling. From the time I walked thru the door the staff were pleasant, they were expecting me and called me by name , that deemed them professional in my eyes. Within 15mins I was escorted to Dr Wrights surgery room, where Dr explained in detail what/how she was going to do the procedure. Dr Wright had a great ‘bedside manner’ which kept me calm throughout. I now deem this surgery as ‘My Dentist’ fr here on in !!

Either incompetent or just money hungry. My first appointment was fine but they recommended a preventative treatment for something no other dentist had ever mentioned to me. It seemed a bit odd but I assumed they were just being extra thorough. The next time they told me that because I hadn’t done the suggested treatment, I now needed a filling. Having never needed a filling up until now, something just didn’t feel right. I went to another reputable dentist for a second opinion and there wasn’t even any decay in the tooth, just a stain. On the positive side, their facilities are nice and the hygienist was gentle and most lovely. Unfortunately I will not be returning.

My wife and I have been patients here for over 10 yrs but something has changed recently at this surgery. Both of us went for our regular hygiene appointments recently, massive drop in treatment standards and the most painful experience ever. At least it was quick- all done in 20 minutes used to take one hour
