John's Hill Reserve Lookout
There are some picnic table here. Although the the front trees block the lookout, still a good place to have a look. On the other side, you can see lots of cows as well.

John's Hill Reserve Lookout
Calm and quiet but quite a few bit of locals gather there to watch the sunset. Couples from all ages and families gather to watch the sunset in their vehicles. But few other loners do come there with their picnic mat, an hour or so before the sunset to read and enjoy the sunset. Personally I would go there again to paint the sunset while the sun is setting…. Best recommend is to go on a summer day with a bit of clouds. When the temp is predicted to be at 25 °C in the evening.

Beautiful views. One of the best scenery in Mount Dandenong. We went there to catch a sunset view but ended up with a cloudy view, still beautiful.

Pretty location and nice open space for a picnic. There's a couple of picnic tables and decent amount of parking all of which is well maintained. No other facilities in the immediate area. Views are nice, however the surrounding trees block most of the potential views.

Beautiful spot small car park couple of tables but you can throw a rug down and enjoy picnic here. Views are stunning across the road. No toilets but there are bins. Definitely worth a drive to.

Located in Kalista, This lookout point is a must visit for Sunrise and Sunset. Although, Sunrise is a bit hard to watch due to some trees, however, it is still beautiful in the morning to watch the place and enjoy your cup of morning tea.This place has some parking as well as benches to eat and drink. We went early today to watch the sunrise. Although by the time we went, Sun was already up but we did enjoy having our weekend tea at this place. I would personally recommend this place as a visit.I believe it would be really good to visit during the Sunset too as you can see lights too.

John's Hill Reserve Lookout
This lookout would be one of the best in Victoria or Yarra Ranges!!! The view is stunning and very wide. This is also very easy to get to. I would call this a hidden gem. It doesn't really get overcrowded. The cows are also very lovely. The vast scenery of the mountains and valleys are stunning!!! Highly recommend this look out! Some people also recommend the Cloud Sea early in the morning!!!

From the carpark, there is a nice lookout with views towards Cardinia reservoir, and across the road is one of the best view of the Yarra valley. Be sure to pick a good day to visit. There are a few picnic tables available. Outsiders are rarely aware of this location.
