I have used Urban Company 3 times now and really happy with the professionals that are allocated to do the cleaning of my house. They are on time, efficient, thorough and this company is really easy to deal with. The app is user friendly, you can choose what rooms you want cleaned and whether it’s standard or deep clean, you can choose your preferred cleaner, and the price is upfront so no hidden charges.

Absolutely terrible cleaning job.I’ve used Urban Company previously and they’ve been ok, but the good cleaners never seem to stay with the app. The last clean we had was so bad I had to re-clean myself in spite of having paid for a deep clean. It’s also impossible to get in touch with the company to lodge a complaint. Honestly, the ease of booking is the only good thing about this company.

I had the absolute worst experience with Urban Company! My bond back guarantee clean was scheduled for the 17th. My partner & I took off the day from work to let the cleaners in (1 hour drive from the new place we just moved into) & put the finishing touches on our one lease. After our cleaner was a few minutes late we called her only to be told she quit weeks ago and UC was meant to assign us a new cleaner but never did. This was the last day of our lease and was incredibly stressful to deal with UC begging them to get an emergency cleaner to our place to fix this issue they caused. After a few hours of waiting around we were told a technical glitch caused the issue and that they could only get a cleaner in the following day. We had no other choice but to accept that offer. We had to take another day off work and pay to extend our lease an additional day, then drive the 1 hour back to our old place the next day to let the cleaners in. All up my partner & I lost an additional day off work that we could have used for vacation or to visit family, lost half our first day off work panicking trying to get an emergency cleaner organised, drove 2 extra commuting hours & lost $75 on extending our lease one day. When we complained to UC we were originally only offered $50 UC voucher by Ankit (manager). Absolutely not good enough, and an indefensible attempt to right this wrong. I called again later & reminded a UC staff of their cancellation policy. UC charges customers $100 cancellation fee if you cancel less than 24 hours in advance. They didn’t have the decency to offer this to me at first but only when I reminded them of the hypocrisy did they agree to refund $100. But to me, for what I lost & the stress this error caused me, I deserve much much more. At the very least I should be fully refunded for the $309 clean ($299 clean + $10 pre clean tip they also refused to refund). I was advised a manager would call me yesterday as I needed my complaint escalated. Not surprising I have still not heard from a manager, just received an automated text asking me how my service went and to submit a review of UC. Ask and you shall receive, this is my review. I hope a manager sees this ASAP & calls me to provide some reasonable amount of compensation for this terrible experience

I have used UC for years with varying experiences - when I found good cleaning professionals, I would look after them, hang on to them and keep them wanting to come back.This weekend I had a service booked in my new home, in central SydneyI was not notified they had cancelled it until the time the service was due to start - there was no attempt to let me knowAnd it took 5 hours to get a response on my ticket only for the service agent to tell me that the company is ceasing operations as of today. Why take the booking if you could not provide the personnel?Very disappointed by the lack of communication and transparency, especially after seeing aggressive promotion from high profile influencers over the past month.

We booked for a deep cleaning for bathroom/laundry, kitchen, sliding door balcony, windows, oven, rangehood and fridge. I was excited to book for a cleaning service for the first time as I needed help with maintaining cleanliness especially having a toddler and an infant at the same time and full time work. I saw that a lot of celebrities and influencers are booking their services so I got excited. Then the day came and they have sent the cleaners Anton and Cindy. Their attitudes were unbelievably rude! Cindy did not clean the laundry only the bathroom and she said it was not included in the package where it shows it is included. Cindy was talking on the phone the whole time she was cleaning and we overheard that she has cases in the tribunal in regards to her rent which is $900 a week that's how loud she talks while working that's why we heard her conversations. The bathroom was not spotless and the mould and stains are still there did not vacuum the floor tiles as well. Anton was very rude to my Mum who was there helping me with the kids, he was shouting at my Mom and saying why do we have a dirty fridge and kitchen. I mean that's the reason why we hired cleaners right because we don't have time to clean it properly and he was so judgemental with our family. He shouts and saying bad words and very rude. It is the first time we have encountered that kind of person. My Mother got stressed and anxious and palpitations after that. The only positive side is he cleaned the oven and fridge not the freezer very well looks like new. But while doing that he keeps on shouting and complaining. I thought my Mum is going to faint because of the stress. Overall it was a stressful experience and I never thought that hiring cleaners would be stressful and they would complained so much and be judgemental I mean for the price of almost $300! I felt like we were scammed! Never again with this company.

Carpet cleaning. This is an Uber-like company so if you have any issues you cannot call them or contact them. The person who supposed to come to clean my carpets was more than 3 hours late!! He sent me a message the morning of the booking of I can confirm my booking which I find very strange. If I didn't cancel the booking then I assume the booking is going ahead. To his message I cannot respond as the app was saying that I don't have the correct rights to reply (wth) so the only way for me was to call him. Eventually, I got hold of him and he told me in a defensive way that he tried to get through to me the whole morning which was an obvious lie. I would not recommend this company.

Urban Company are very responsive and can always find quality cleaners if I need to change my regular dates. I've had different cleaners at times and they have all been professional, friendly, and have always done a great job cleaning my house. The only down side is the app can be a bit glitchy when trying to reschedule a service or change preferences. However I will continue to use their service and would definitely recommend them

Urban Company was great - we were able to book a deep clean of our bathroom and have our windows cleaned - both jobs that I can never seem to do well enough - the cleaner was professional, brought all their own equipment and did a great job. They did miss one service we asked for and UC credited me that cost. Will use again.

Horrible experience. I've used Urban Company a few times for standard cleaning, and multiple times they had to cancel due to no professional assigned. What is worst though is I booked their moving-out clean and they called me the same day of the clean to cancel last minute when I was due to give back the keys the next day. Because of that I had to find someone else last minute and had to pay penalties and Urban Company did not cover the costs involved for putting us in this situation. I do not recommend them.

Do not book this company, incredibly unreliable. I booked an end of lease clean very easily through the app, WEEKS in advance of required date, booking was confirmed and money was taken. Less than 24 hours before the clean was due to occur I received a text saying they could not fulfil the booking. No ability to reschedule to even the next day, and such limited notice that we could not secure another cleaner. This leaves us unable to fulfil the requirement of professional clean prior to the end of lease. Would never use this company again.
